Question Prosciutto allowed on phase 1? And olive oil question

I have been searching for an answer to this and all I have found I is recipes. They say they are good recipes for phase one, but prosciutto is not on the list of allowed items. Can one have prosciutto? Obviously would not be eating 8 oz of it lol, but just a slice wrapped around chicken or asparagus..

My other question is about the olive oil. Does it count when say wilting spinach in EVOO or cooking my meat in it? Can I still use the two teaspoons mixed with ACV for a salad dressing after doing that? I know we must have the two teaspoons, but does that mean NO MORE than two tsps.? I could use PAM I suppose instead of EVOO for the cooking and then just have the oil in my salad as I'm not a big fan of the WF dressings (except thousand island when making big mac in a bowl!! )

Hello! No, prosciutto would not be considered on program. I was always taught that it's 2 teaspoons of olive oil raw so drizzled on veggies or salad or whatever. My coach said not to count the tiny amount used to cook as most stays in the pan anyway.

Well, I beg to differ... as prosciutto is lean dried ham which is on the allowed protein list.
Ideal Protein lists are mainly taken from standard American food lists so the 'ethnic' names for some foods may be different (as long as the food itself is the same, it doesn't matter what you call it.)
Please make sure you are eating enough protein though, as one paper-thin slice of prosciutto is in no way equal in protein to a slice of regular lean ham, American style.

Oh yes!!! I wouldn't have just one slice as my protein!! I meant one slice WITH my other protein so around my chicken etc
But this makes sense and makes me very happy!! I will still double check w my coach at my next weigh in, thank you for the replies!!

Looks like ppl disagree on this.. I'll double check w me coach, I had some prosciutto to get rid of so I wrapped my chicken in it last night and still down two lbs over night.. although I hadn't lost for the three days prior. I know I know don't weigh daily but I can't help it lol
