Well, I beg to differ... as prosciutto is
lean dried ham which is on the allowed protein list.
Ideal Protein lists are mainly taken from standard American food lists so the 'ethnic' names for some foods may be different (as long as the food itself is the same, it doesn't matter what you call it.)
Please make sure you are
eating enough protein though, as one paper-thin slice of prosciutto is in no way equal in protein to a slice of regular lean ham, American style.
