Good morning everyone!
HIS- sorry to hear about what you are going through with your dad. And I hope your daughter gets her issue figured out.

Only down 0.4# today, but hey, it's still a loss, so it is still going in the right direction. Hopefully this week will be better :) It should be, I don't have any plans on eating out this week and will be able to stay 100% OP.

The hard part to manage is the dementia. If he really is incompetent then that is the route to go but from what I heard from you is that this is relatively normal behavior for him.

Yes, a couple of years ago I spoke to a woman who runs an in-home elder care company, and she said the same thing: sometimes you just have to wait until the crisis happens. I never dreamed both my parents would live this long, and that they'd both have dementia. :(

Jenny, yep, a tiny downward tick on the scale is better than nothing at all! It certainly does help when you're not eating out a lot. I think dh & I ate out a total of 2 times the whole five months I was in P1. Of course, we're not big on eating out a lot anyway, but it's nice to have that option when you're not trying to lose weight.

I ran my 7 miles today and felt great. I tried to run at a comfortably slow pace and finished with a 9:24 pace overall, which is much better than I expected. I'm starting to feel a lot more confident that I can do a half marathon and not embarrass myself. :)

Beth, does this happen to you? I go to bed really looking forward to my run the next morning (unless it's sprints, haha). But the next day, I find myself dragging my feet on getting out the door. Once I get that first mile covered, I'm fine, and often want to run further than planned. But something in me just procrastinates on getting dressed and GOING. Maybe it's the colder temperatures?

I'm going over to my son & DILs tonight to watch a movie with her while he's working. Going to pick up Mexican food for dinner... I probably should have a salad, but everything in me wants a quesadilla. Getting down to 150 is proving to be a lot harder than I expected!

WTG HIS!
No - I truthfully can't procrastinate on my current schedule of 5am :D I have to get up, get dressed, roll / stretch for 5 minutes and GO! lol
This last week was really tough with the weather but I made the time for myself - I even made my DH pick up the slack so I could have my 90 minutes of gym time...trust & believe, that doesn't happen much ;)
I think right now I am enjoying getting back into running in my new body...when I was training for the Marine Corp 11 years ago, I was 10 / 15 #'s heavier and never really got outside much...I'd really just started when I found out I was pregnant.
Ask me again after March 12 & the 1/2 marathon ;)

I made our hotel reservation for the 10 miler Chocolate Run we are doing over our anniversary weekend / Valentines :) I am excited - it's a fun run, but the hotel looks really nice and although in our state, we've never really explored this area - plus, just being away for 2 days. We haven't had 2 days to ourselves without the girls since before my mom passed away in 2009.

I know Linda is getting walloped by Jonas right now - and if anyone has family / friends along the immediate east coast (ie, Jersey shore, etc...) my thoughts to them. We've ended up with close to 30" of snow - it is 9pm and still snowing at a fair clip - another hour / 1.5 though and we should be done!
We got out and shoveled twice today (single family, sidewalks / driveway & helping neighbors)...but again, I pretty much ate through the extra calorie burn :D
Idk whether to really treat tonight's beef stew with cornbread as an indulgence or not...I plugged all the ingredients I used into MFP and was pleasantly surprise a serving came in under 400 calories. I guess the second corn bread muffin I had was an 'indulgence' lol.

Happy Sunday..

Beth - Wow 30 in and counting, and I was grumbling about 12. Good job with engaging DH so that you could have time to your self. Chocolate run sounds fun, sounds like the 2 of you deserve time away.

HIS - Sorry to hear that you Dads doc did not call back. I hope he is doing better. My sis and BIL are going through the dementia issues with his dad. They moved him to a senior community and very quickly to a memory care center after he took the car and did not come back. He was missing for 10 hours before he was found safe. Very long day for all.

I can't even imagine breaking a 10 min mile pace. Not sure that running will be my thing, I would like to get back into cycling, but would like DH to be able to join me. I am trying to get him to join IP when we return from vacation - I think if he could loose 20 - 30 pounds he would feel better. It is hard for me to say anything since he is still lighter than me and a few inches taller.

Jenny - Congrats on the loss, it is a huge success given all that you had going on last week.

Largo - I hope you have or had a safe travel to Calgary.

MiWi - I hope you made it home safely. Good planning bringing extra packets. A church group from our area was in DC for the march for life and got stuck on the Pennsylvania turnpike.

Needed to go in to work today to get some work done prior to vacation. I still need to finish putting a few things into a suitcase to bring along on the trip. Looking forward to warmer weather.

My clinic give me a % BF and % muscle each week. This week I decided to calculate my fat and muscle pounds before and current. When I started I had 132 pounds of fat (52%) and 55 pounds of muscle (21.7%). This week I was down to 99 pounds of fat (45.7%) and 53 pounds of muscle (24.6%). It was nice to confirm that what I was loosing is fat. Moving from a triple digit number to a double digit number is also nice.

Sue
