IP Summer 2015 Weight Loss Challenge

US Labor Day is the unofficial "end" of summer

How much weight can be lost in the next 11 weeks?

This challenge is only for active 3fc participants on the Ideal Protein plan.

Some of us want to drop a few lbs, some of us are remaining steadfast on or beginning our initial P1 journey, and others are rebooting. Whatever the reason, we can do it together! We can be 20-25 lbs lighter (or more) by summer's "end"!

Let's get going (or keep it going)!

Here are the rules. It helps to know how spreadsheets work.

Please read all of the following:

Click the link to request access. Access is NOT automated so be patient. You only need to request access to this challenge once. (Note: Googledocs made some changes that don't work well with some mobile devices. you may need to access from your laptop).

I'll send you an email asking for your 3fc screen name. After you reply to that email with the requested information, you will be granted access and notified by email (not right away...I have to do it manually from my laptop, it doesn't work from my mobile devices. Please only send ONE request. Sending multiple requests only fills up my email box. It doesn't get you approved faster).

I keep track of everyone on the list so when data disturbances happen, I know who to talk to or delete. During a previous challenge, someone kept changing/reformatting things & didn't respond to my requests to stop so I deleted them from the challenge. These challenges used to be "open" but trolls messed up the sheets too often so we had to "close".

Be ready with your starting weight. No waiting for "next" WI. Just plug in your current weight.

When granted access, put your 3fcscreen name on the next available row. (just click the first blank box in column A)
Then tab over to complete columns B, C.
Please don't add data to columns D,E,F,G (they're in color). They auto-calculate as you add info (if they don't work, I'll notice. No need to contact me.)

Only type in the white spaces. Any columns that are highlighted with color will auto calculate. If your auto calculate doesn't work, just leave it be. I'll fix it. If you try to fill in missing numbers, I won't know the auto calculate isn't working.

Current weight goes in the "starting weight" column. Use your current WI.
If you joined late, just enter zeros in the WI columns that you missed.

Please only request access if you actually plan on participating. A LOT of people requested access before and never participated. No lurking! Only active participants!

The challenge is a spreadsheet. You'll need to know how to enter data into a spreadsheet (or have someone who can help you). Don't forget to bookmark so you can find the spreadsheet again!

Let's do this!!!

Thanks for starting yet another one, Lisa. :)

I can open the sheet, but I can't enter anything.

lisa32989 06-22-2015 02:34 PM

I changed the link. Try again.

jlnelson 06-22-2015 03:37 PM

Yay, thank you for doing this!!

sweetvt 06-23-2015 08:58 AM

Lisa - Thanks for keeping this going for us. While I didn't lose as much as I wanted to (my own fault) last time around, these challenges keep me accountable. I appreciate your taking the time to create these challenges for us.

frawniemae 06-23-2015 09:20 AM

Requested! I appreciate you doing this for us. It really keeps me on track!

blueskiesahead 06-23-2015 12:52 PM

Lisa - thank you for doing this. I'm sure it's a lot of work for you.

I hadn't started yet when you had the last challenge, this is a great idea!
I just added my name to the chart.

Wish everyone success!

AliciaJ703 06-23-2015 04:23 PM

I'm a newbie and I would love to join the challenge to help me keep on track. Thanks for putting this together!

mkfrances 06-23-2015 05:12 PM

I'm joining, too! Lisa, I got the email, but am having issues adding my name on my ipad. I won't be at my laptop for a day or two, so look for me to add my info then. Thanks so much for coordinating this!
Marcia

Hi there MizBeadz! You can ask questions like this in the Daily Chat- there's usually one on the first page of the forum, and it's usually restarted weekly.

Your profile picture is in your profile- I see it by clicking on your username.

I think you meant to add it as your avatar picture, which is different. (That cat on the rhoomba is my avatar!) You can add a custom avatar in your User CP at the bottom of the avatar page- just note that the maximum size of your custom image is 110 by 150 pixels.

MizBeadz 06-29-2015 01:00 PM

Thank you! I've been trying to figure that out for months!

MizBeadz 06-29-2015 01:06 PM

Woot! It worked. Thanks again! :-)

Jbee543 06-29-2015 02:48 PM

New Chick

Thanks for this! I'm entered!

frawniemae 06-30-2015 01:51 PM

Another 2.2 pounds gone!! My size 16s are getting looser, too! Still got a ways to go before I'm rid of this "muffin top" though. I wish exercising was something I was as committed to as the WL is. I'm definitely a work in process!

CeliaB 07-01-2015 07:29 AM

Are we supposed to fill out the sheet at a specific day every week or at our weekly WI ? :)

frawniemae 07-01-2015 09:19 AM

CeliaB Post after your weekly WI;whichever day of that particular week is fine.

Request sent, hoping I can join this even if it's a few weeks late. I started IP on July 3rd and hoping to lose 25 lbs over the summer.

WTG, you are kicking butt!! :carrot:

Started P2 last week and lost 2 pounds this week, it was good - I was worried about a big gain. :dizzy:

frawniemae 07-09-2015 10:39 AM

Thanks everyone! It was so good to see that big of a loss! Wish I had wooshes all of the time but I know slow and steady is what will win this race. I'm hoping for Onderland for my birthday (see below) but not sure that will happen. But it will one day, that's for sure. I am not near done yet!

So glad P2 is going well for you JJTx! Keep up the good work!

starryskies 07-10-2015 09:31 AM

Thanks lisa for allowing me to join. New to IP and just had my second weigh in with a loss of 14.4 lbs! Boy, was I shocked! I've had some good first week losses with other diets before but never in the double digits (I had my coach weigh me twice because I thought the scale must have been broken Lol).

Hope everyone has a great week!

Destony 07-10-2015 11:58 AM

FrawnieI'm keeping my fingers crossed for your birthday!!!
StarryskiesThat's amazing!!!! Great way to start out isn't it??!!! It's an amazing journey!!!

:lol::lol:
That is terrific Frawnie!!! (btw - what does - "weight less than what my DL says...?" mean :o )

Goose egg for me this week - saw 173.6 one day, but then was up a pound again the next so, doesn't count ;) although as I knew from charting my pattern over the last 2 months, I am starting to move downward again (172.4 this morning) and should see a decent 'whoosh' once TOM is out of the way next week :)
