The only way I can stand the chicken soup is to make waffle batter out of it and stir in my 2C veggies (usually steamed cabbage slaw and a little soy sauce). The only way I can stand the tomato basil soup is also to make waffle batter out of it and almost burn it in my waffle maker - kind of gives it a pizza crust taste. Otherwise those two are pretty darn gaggy in my book!!

Hi everyone. I haven't been on in a couple of weeks. My dad was in the hospital, then hospice, and passed away last Saturday. I was by his side. :( I wasn't 100% OP, but I did my best. I'm back home and ready to get back on track. I've missed y'all.

Hugs, and sorry for your loss Kelly. I hope you don't have any trouble getting back on track, you are doing awesome.

oneuh2, you'll be back on track and have those up lbs gone in no time :) Don't keep beating yourself up about it, just move forward and OP.

Sue, I hope your son is feeling better by the morning for his exam, and I hope he does well.

Final night of the season for my rec soccer league, I'm going to miss it. It's the playoffs, so if we win our first game we play again right after, I think I'll be tired in the morning :)

I hope everyone is having a great OP week!

Welcome back, Kelly - and sooo sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Times like these are among the toughest to deal with in life -- eating management seems rather low on the priority list when you are dealing with such emotional strain. Now that you are back home, I am sure you will get back on track, and probably be grateful for the return to mundane daily routines, including staying OP.

Took chicken breast out of the freezer for dinner....thinking of just grilling and tossing over salad. Not in the mood to be creative LOL...

IP girls learn to keep jackets or sweaters with them. I have one hanging on the back of my chair at work. I'm wearing it now!

Pepperoncinis- coach says it's not on the list so I can't have it, but the based on the ingredients (no oil or 'extras') I feel like it should be allowed. And fat free feta, just a small amount on salads. If milk is allowed for coffee drinkers I thought this may be also, but another nope from my coach. Anyone eat either of these and have success, or did it hinder your losses?

Chicken soup was my go-to lunch for MONTHS when I first started IP. I would never have liked it "on it's own". I cooked and pureed veggies and then added the puree and spices to it. (Leeks, celery, bok choy, mushrooms - I don't think leeks are still on the P1 list).
I have used pepperoncini the entire time. It is pickled peppers. Peppers are allowed and so are pickles.

I used no fat-free cheese. Cheese is a binge food for me so I stay far away.
The milk is only for coffee. Some other folks I know have used tiny bits of the fat free (or soy) cheese.

How sweet! Thanks. IP gave me my life back. I really feel it is part of my responsibility to give away (here) what was so freely given to me when I joined the forum.

Kelly: I'm so sorry. I've lived through that as well. Sending you strength.

Kelly - I am so sorry for your loss, but in time you will be glad that you were there with him when he passed. It's a difficult time for you, so please take care of yourself. /hugs

Glad that everyone else seems to be doing ok and back on the IP wagon successfully. :)

I've also noticed that people seem to be behaving themselves! I remember the last time I was on IP, the "100% No Cheat Zone" thread was always at the top of the forum because it was the only place where people could hold a darn conversation without people boasting about cheating constantly.

Now it seems that people are confessing here and there that they've had a rare slip up for needed support, but for the most part we're being very positive about the IP journey and our performances.

I got the Phase 3 sheet today (dated March '15). It is not clear how much protein I am supposed to have at breakfast. It also says that I should have 1 carb (and gives examples with serving sizes) and 1 fat - but there are no serving sizes for the fats! I would love to be able to have yogurt for breakfast, but I have no idea how much I should have if I also have to have a different protein. Coach not helpful when I asked, so I am looking for help here.
Thanks!

Kelly - I am SO sorry for your loss. I lost my mom a few weeks ago so I can totally relate to what you are going through (staying on IP too). Be kind to yourself during this time.

There are some additional explanations in the FAQ. They're from a while back but the concepts are the same.
The post is here

I really needed this info.
The biggest help for me was this thread: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...ast-ideas.html

Kelly, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Well IPeeps, Day 2 of P1 reboot is almost over. Hungry, but staying strong. I like knowing that every day, everything in my closet is going to fit me better.

So refreshing, isn't it?

Well ladies I finally decided to get back on track and stop the binges that started last Friday. I have the stupid "last supper" mentality.
Well no more. I made it through today and I will keep going. I will force myself to post everyday to be accountable for my actions.
I know I need to figure out how to handle that little voice in my head that wants all those carbs but I WILL SHUT IT UP....I mean come one...if I can handle over eighty teens a day at work I must be able to handle that little voice!
Thanks for all your kind words! We can do it!

Mimi47 05-07-2015 09:59 PM

Kelly -- so sorry for your loss. Glad to see you back here though during such a difficult time.

loser58 -- Here is a MFP entry of my go-to P3 breakfast, which includes yogurt. Thought this might be helpful to show you how the numbers can all be put together. I have never posted something from MFP to this forum and hope it copies over in a readable manner. Anyway, even now in maintenance, I have some version of this breakfast (without the bacon) just about every single day. Good luck -- P3 breakfasts are yum!
