How to get the most from your coach?
I'm not sure I have the best coach but it' s difficult to get the most out of the session when you're not sure how much more potentially helpful they can be. For example, everything I learn about what might be new with the program I get from these boards. Every week, I get a cursory journal review, weighed, measured and pay for the food. No insight, tips, useful info, or motivating words. I'm very willing to try and coax things along to get the most out of the coaching aspect but I'd like some ideas.
So, how would you rate your coach? If you like them, why? And if you think there is room for improvement, what would you like to see? Thanks! |
Tell them you want to be hooked up with the Video coaching from IP headquarters. Don't take no for an answer.
I really liked my first coach, she had a tips sheet for me every week - ideas for stress relief without food, 20 year planning for maintenance, physiology behind carbs & fats usage in our bodies, you name it. My clinic is called the Drop Zone and they are very supportive. My coach had a certificate in counseling though, from a previous position, and she was very good at drawing you out about what your issues were and helping you find a way to deal with them. She also wasn't pushy about the body fat impedance machine because we all know they aren't the most accurate. Liana |
