Thanks for the encouraging remarks everyone!! Your support and encouragement means so much -- it really does help me to keep the faith!

Sue - it seems that the new Yogurt Vanilla Almond drink comes in 8 packs, rather than 6 packs -- this is an even greater reason for your coach to give you a sample! I am confident it will be a good flavor - the Wildberry Yogurt mix is so good that I am always sad when I use it to make muffins -- the muffins come out great, but it's the lost opportunity to have had the actual drink.... :dizzy:

When you have your all day sessions, those clients need to stop for lunch, too, don't they? Can you map out your property visits to be near a restaurant at an appropriate time, and then let the clients know, as you set out for the day, that you have a plan to pause for a quick lunch break -- Tell 'em you are diabetic and you have to eat every few hours to manage your blood sugar... If they think you are taking care of a medical condition, they will be very supportive. ;) For all the times my DH and I have looked at property (and it used to be a very regular pastime!!!), we always enjoyed stopping for a break -- getting familiar with neighborhood services was always an important consideration in assessing location, too. I must be singing to the choir - You are so resourceful, Sue -- I know you can make those all day sessions work for your IP objectives as well as your RE business!!

Last comment on this week's uptick for me... I don't know why I seem to be hitting this slow down period... My coach says my body composition is adjusting -- this comment was in reaction to the consistent downward fat percentage over the past month, despite the net weight loss of less than 10 lbs over the same period. I really am not diverging from the program except for forgetting my supplements some days, and sometimes being too high on coffee intake and too low on water intake. It seems crazy that these small transgressions could result in my weight on the scale just 'gyrating in place'.... but it is what it is, and I believe in the value of IP enough to carry on and try to be more 'perfect'.

So - I am going dancing tonite - the exercise will do me good, along with some social interaction. I am jazzed!

:dancer::dancer: dance away my friend.....hope you had a blast. Last weeks client I did drop off for lunch, I could do that but it seriously messes with the schedule depending on how long it takes. Most of the time they like to keep going and just finish and have some time alone to have a relaxing meal and discuss the day. Today I am bringing a cut up bar with me in a Baggie. I will be able to "nibble" on that protein for lunch. Then will double up my salad / veggies for dinner.

Scraped off what I could. Hoping I didn't mess anything up. I mean, no where in the entrée description did it mention bacon. Gah!

There was much drinking and celebrating but I held tough. Helped that I was the DD shuttling people home after.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Stay warm!!

Good job staying strong. Sometimes I order at a restaurant to the best of my ability and stuff that is not IP still makes it to my plate.....I am the queen of pushingnstuff to the side of my plate lol...

Off to show 17 houses today lol. That is down from the original 21! Showed 9 of the 12 yesterday.then I had to be in the office so i sent them out driving around. DH had mentioned something about going to the casino tonight. Ahhh I need that! Lol.

"Been there - done that " with the restaurant order.... You think you have ordered to stay OP and something shows up in the dish that's not compliant.... But I have to say that bacon is not too far from the high protein/low carb tree.... Much better than croutons or breadcrumbs - My guess is that this one will have minimal effects, CenTXChk!

I had a fun time at the dance party last nite - I wore black leggings with a cute tunic top, and my nude satin dance sandals... I felt like I actually looked hot! First time I have worn leggings out in public.... an NSV!

Yay oneuh2! I'm sure you DID look hot! So glad you got to go out and do what you truly enjoy. Isn't it great to have some confidence about the way you look? -- and to get to wear something you want to wear (and feel good in) rather than defaulting to just wearing something that fits? That is a NSV indeed! You are so close to goal, nights like last night have to give you renewed dedication to finishing strong.

I just discovered my NSV this morning. I was out last night with a bunch of girlfriends. Someone took a group picture and posted it to Facebook. I have a control on Facebook so that no one can post a picture to my timeline unless I review and approve it. I did this because I was afraid of old friends seeing how out of shape I'd gotten and generally being disturbed by pictures of myself. I saw the e-mail this morning and thought "here we go..." But the picture wasn't bad! I looked thinner than I perceive myself, happy and healthy. So of course I approved it!

Yay, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling happy about public photos. The need to hide is going! :)

Hope everyone's having a good weekend - sounds like lots of NSV's happening :)

I had to share this: http://http://newleafwellness.biz/2014/09/08/8-healthy-freezer-crockpot-meals-75-minutes/

We didn't get beef roast because it wasn't a good price this week, but we got the ingredients for the other six meals. Hubby helped, and in about 1 1/2 hours we did the freezer meals, prepped veggies for tomorrow's dinner, fixed tonight's dinner, and did our salad veggies for the week.

This is excellent, JJTx!!! I assume you dropped out the carrots and any other non IP items - does not look like there are too many, and this is such an efficient, and yummy looking approach to the week! I have a lot of this stuff and will see if I can put at least part of it together tomorrow.

And I am bookmarking the link for future reference!!

Kind of a bummer start to the weekend for me -- I have been reassigned to another position at work -- not really thrilled about the job change and I am losing respect for the boss I have been working for the past year. In addition, while learning of this news over the phone, I was driving, and I missed seeing a traffic light change and had a fender bender accident. just a single driver in the other car and he was very adamant that he was not hurt. There was minimal impact and the damage to both cars was quite minimal, but the other driver called in an attorney and decided 30 minutes after he left the scene that he did have some soft tissue injury (something that cannot be easily proved or disproved) and it turns out that he has a history of multiple claims of this type.... definite bummer situation.

I have kicked myself a hundred times for the stupid fender bender, and I am in brain overload, working on ideas for alternative job situations that would enable me to leave my current aggravation behind. But... I did not eat my way through the stress and emotions associated with all this, so that was a NSV for me. Today I went for a sacra-cranial body treatment - released a lot of tension and I think I'll sleep better tonite. Just having a kind of bad patch of life stuff right now. Deep down, I know that this too will pass....

I am just glad that I am staying 'on purpose' with the things that are important to me, and are good for me, and not letting life's 'stuff' throw me off course.

Sgrealtor1 03-01-2015 06:16 AM

Oneuh2- ugh! So sorry about the fender bender and the guy bleeding the system with his injury....sucks! Sorry about the job situation I have been self employed for so many years and I love it....you must do a job you love. Hope you can fix that situation. In other good news....yeah on the dancing queen leggings! :carrot::carrot:

Jen- thanks for the link! I need to hit the grocery store tomorrow....will have a list handy....:D

Today we have a pancake breakfast at a local restaurant for DS's hockey team. Me and DS will be leaving that early as we are going to visit a college today down in south jersey ( Rowen University). Then tonight DS and I need to fill out his application for his summer job and we also need to narrow down his list of colleges he wants to visit to a manageable amount lol...he's all over the place!

JJTx 03-01-2015 10:23 AM

Oneuh2 - oh wow what bad luck! I'm glad you weren't hurt, and hopefully things can be resolved with the turkey :p

Yes I subbed out the carrots - used extra zucchini and squash in the veggie soup, and added bell peppers to the chicken soup. We cut down the onion and used just about 1/4 onion in each bag.

oneuh2 03-02-2015 08:24 AM

Sue and Jen - Thanks so much for the kind supporting remarks!

It seems there is real interest in a combined Summer 2014 Starters thread... I thought maybe I would start it up later today or in the morning tomorrow, and ask the June thru Sept folks to check in... Some are on the verge of phasing into maintenance, some have a ways to go to reach goal, but all of us are 5-7 months into our journeys.

Shall we do it? If we start a new thread each month, we can have a new focus topic for the month each time...

March can be 'putting Spring in our step' - there is interest in getting moving - maybe setting step goals and really working on getting that routine in play this month.

Or do you all have any ideas?

JJTx 03-02-2015 08:41 AM

Sounds like a great idea. - make it happen! :)

Love this idea! I am dying to put some spring in my step. I have actually been taking long walks the last few days, alternating between sidewalk and street depending on how well the neighbors have shoveled. Even in the cold, it is better than the treadmill. More snow yesterday and more on its way tomorrow through Thu. Maybe snowshoes are in order!

For some reason I have this mental picture of you with tennis racquets tied to your sneakers, beating a path through the snow. LOL

The new thread for Summer Starters 2014 is up - thanks for posting your intro Amanda!!

I put an invitation posting in each of the June, August and September Starter threads -- hopefully we'll come together in the next few days!

Staples is having a sale on Fitbits... not sure if the price is great, but if anything goes wrong they will replace the it for 2 years... I think I should quit stalling and go get one and get on with building up my daily steps!!!
