  • Congrats on your weight loss so far! You are so inspiring!!!

Quote: For my body, I have seen a relationship between body weight and the amount of thyroxin I need to take. If you lose more than 50 to 75 pounds, I would make sure your TSH (and perhaps free T3 and free T4) levels are checked -- but I imagine if you are under a doctor's supervision, that check happens annually anyway. My dosages have varied from .150 to .233 mg per day depending on my weight, with less thryroxin needed at lighter weights (more at heavier weights). I also have Hashimoto's by the way.
  • when do you fellow hypothyroiders take your morning vitamins? I take mine at lunch just wondered if anyone takes them in the morning with their hypothyroid rx?

I use Levoxyl (T4) and there is a label that states to not take any calcium (vitamins, tums, etc...) for 4 hours after the Rx. That said, I take my supplements right after dinner.
  • all at once? and ya I thought so too but my coach and pharmacist didn't mention anything so wanted to double check. thanks!
  • Sorry - should have clarified I am not using IP vitamins - my own since I am on Rx Vit. D

I am on synthroid. When I wasin P1 I would take my thyroid meds as soon as I woke up at 5:45. I took the supplements at the recommended times except for the two snack time cal mags that I took at bedtime instead since snack always felt too close to the dinner ones. I believe in the morning it was potassium and a multi? I do know you can't take the potassium at the same time as the others.
  • Soy free?
Hi! I'm wondering if you can tell me whether the IP products are soy free?
  • No - about 90% of IP products are soy based.
  • I have been hypothyroid since 2002. In 2012/2013 I lost 135 pounds on IP. My doctor ran blood work every month and I never had to adjust my medication levels.
