I read a book many years ago by a chiropractor who suggested that the majority of the people he sees would never need him if they just drank 8 glasses a day to keep their disks fully hydrated. Even though I don't have back problems, it stuck with me and kept me drinking enough water.

When I started IP I upped my water to at least 10 glasses a day, but wasn't really striving for more. Perhaps I should be.

Lemon wafers .... Enough said!

I drink around 150+ OZ a day...I know it seems like a lot, but if I don't drink at least 100+ I feel dehydrated. I'm usually active through out the day, so its nice to have a 50oz bottle near by. I also have 3 cups of coffee and a sleepy time tea at night. Needless to say the bathrooms my friend :)

OHHH..Did I mention that I bought 4 new bottles of Pumpkin Pie Syrup (Sugar Free) and 1 bottle of Peppermint (Sugar Free) :yay::dance:

The IP crispy cereal says just to add water to the packet. What should I expect? Is it like cereal that you put in a baby's bottle? I thought it would be something I could put in a bowl with milk.

Unfortunately, milk is not allowed on Phase 1 - except a small splash that can be used in coffee. the IP Crispy Cereal has powdered milk in the packet that reconstitutes when you add the water - it's not EXACTLY a typical cereal breakfast but it works when you can't have the real thing!

It's almost like Rice Krispies. I made sure to shake my water with ice so it was extra cold otherwise it was like having Luke warm milk on my cereal. I used the pack more often to make a pancake than as cereal though.

Thanks Ladies! I had a huge question mark as I was reading the package. I guess I'll give it a go tomorrow?

I agree, it needs REALLY cold water to be in any way edible. Make sure you use slightly LESS water than the packet suggests otherwise it comes out like a mix between a weak soy milk and a weak almond milk - kind of grey and not appealing.

Like ChipnDip we use a rolling pin on the sealed packet and toss it in with a drink or pudding packet to make either pancakes or waffles.

NSV today: Got into my brand new size 18 swimsuit, that I've had sitting in the drawer since Jan 2011. That means it's swimming time again! :)

Lack of NSV: Have to get a filling replaced at the dentist's next week. I told him about the ketogenic diet and asked him about the anesthesia he uses. He said he will look it up and see if it's contraindicated but he believes it is fine, as it's only a 2% lidocaine and should clear the liver without issues. Watch this space! I asked him if it could wait til March and he said "your choice, filling now or potential root canal in 5 months". What's a girl to say to that? :)
