Congrats to everyone on the losses. It's so encouraging to hear the successes, even if they are small steps on a long road. :)

On a side note: Has anyone else noticed a reduction in the amount of static they carry around now they are drinking so much water? My cats no longer flinch when I come towards them, and I'm not throwing blue sparks at walls with electrical cables anymore!

Too funny!!! LOL I can't say I noticed less static, we don't have carpet though. It makes perfect sense though. So pleased for your cats!
I too congratulate everyone. Enjoy your weekend!

Hope everyone has a great OP weekend! Think skinny, y'all!

That's awesome - hooray for new clothes!

To quote Eve, I feel like some of the hardest work is about to begin. I feel like I have some great tools and know that I still need to develop more to be successful. I so appreciate all the support and information on 3FC.

Congrats on amazing weight loss - you're an inspiration!

The image of this is bang on. I lived in fear of car doors and tv's before but now I stand unafraid. With a 2 liter jug if water inside me I too can touch anything!

Looking forward to this weekend as it is the one calm one in a month of busy ones. We're going to stay home and aren't expecting any company. Ahhh. Love the break.
Great planning kissi and txwineo!
Eve momma- hopefully everything, bilirubin included, will normalize now that you've hit maintenance!
Kelly- praying for you and your dad. Hope all goes well.
Jenny- all I can say is wow. You are an incredible inspiration of strength & determination.
Nat- that is awesome news!!! Can't wait for the 'official' announcement on Monday!

Lucy1014 09-12-2014 04:13 PM

Ok, I know many of you have recommended not setting a date for reaching weight loss goals, but I have one in mind for next year. Next summer my hubs and I are taking a nice long vacation (which we haven't done in years!) to celebrate our 15th anniversary. I hope to be at goal and in maintenance by then and am visualizing myself on the beach in a bikini, looking even better than when we were married! I am a very visual person, so hopefully keeping that picture in my head will be a motivator in a positive way, rather than feeling pressured to get there in time!

Wow, amazing. You have done a fabulous job!

Finale- Great job for facing the scale, I had the same problem this summer. We can support each other with getting back 100%. Have been since last Tuesday and by my scale I am down 5 pounds, go staying motivated, will not weigh again until Tuesday as that is my weigh in day. Keep it up you can do it IP works as we all know.

Just got up as worked last night and was so glad, stayed 100% IP, it was great, it can be done with planning.

Kissi- Great Job!!!!!

KellyC12- thought with you Father, hopefully test will be ok.

Everyone have a great weekend, working out of town this weekend. Have all my food planned and ready to go. Hopefully I will be able to get on sight.

Kellyc14 09-12-2014 06:34 PM

Lucy- I think a year is a safe goal to set!!! :)

Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers for my dad! It is bladder cancer, however the doctor is confident that it's superficial. He has an apt next Friday to have it scraped, that may be all that is needed. We will find out next Friday. My dad is in good spirits so that is good. Keep the prayers coming!

I recently moved and I am changing clinics. I hope this is what I need as I wasn't feeling a connect with my coach and I have mentioned that I am a runner and it was "either run or do this diet you can't do both" response from my coach which didn't sit well with me at all. This new coach has athletes and sounds like she has a plan for me that we can work with so I am very excited.

I have been a few weeks off plan with vacation, a move and deciding to change coaches and I am happy I made this choice as I think I may have left the program otherwise. These boards have been very helpful in letting me realize there are options out there and we just need to find the right coach.

Jenny38 09-12-2014 08:03 PM

Thanks Kelly, finale, Lucy, chicket, Refreshing me. I'll need my determination to be successful in maintenance.

Ruby, sounds like you found a good coach. I switched coaches 3 weeks in to IP. I started running in February of this year and now training for 1/2 marathon, doing IP the whole time. My IP coach had me do for longer runs over 10k I add I bread and 1 tbsp of almond or peanut butter along with the extra pack of IP for working out.

Good luck I look forward to hearing about your runs

Yaaay, Kelly!
It sounds like (relatively) good news, just like my DH's was! Hoping the scraping will take care of it next Friday! Hugs all round for your family!

Hey guys and Dolls, Stayed home from work today because of a migraine. Just trying to read the boards before going back to bed so I can go to work in the morning. Seems like lots of great WI's and Victories of all sorts.

Kelly I will continue to keep you and your father in my prayers. It just can't hurt

Lucy1014 (and of possible interest to Dre2.0) regarding the nausea I was having. As mentioned earlier in the week I had done some online research into possible reasons why I could be burping so much (which was leading to the nausea for me) and one of the reasons that resonated with me between personal experience and things I had read on this forum my first seven months when doing IP my first go around was low stomach acid. So I started on Tuesday taking two doses of Apple Cider Vinegar, with a sprinkle of stevia (one packet has lasted for 8 doses) and just enough water that it doesn't burn my throat as I drink it (I am guessing its no more than 2 ounces.) It's a bit like a strong lemonade. I started noticing a reduction the same day I started and today I don't think I burped once. I take one dose in the morning and use that to swallow my morning pills followed by my morning packet. Then the second dose right before dinner with my evening pills (which includes my multivitamin.) Just sharing as I know it can be really frustrating.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Looking forward to my second weigh in on Sunday.
