Morning!

Johnsdeere, responding to your post yesterday...yes, I find it very odd how distorted I can view myself. It's like I got to a certain point where I just decided I was big and would always be big. It didn't matter how BIG I actually got! Now that I'm no longer big, I have a really hard time viewing myself as small! Pictures help. I think the most odd thing to me is 'blending in' in the pictures rather than 'standing out' because I was so large. I actually look proportionate to everyone else!

Deana, WELCOME BACK! I left for a while too and am just getting back on the boards. Glad to see another friendly face from when I started!

You can do this, FNP!! My long weekend isn't going to be a long weekend, lol. My hubby is working since he a has a desperate customer (who forgot to book him) with his daughter's wedding at the house and they want it looking spiffy - clean windows to see the lake view. My DH can't say no - but I hope he's charging the customer well for working on a holiday. Since DH's working, I volunteered for the Children's festival in the park here to work with the RCMP ChildFind project - we will be taking photos of the kids for their parents and RCMP is fingerprinting and they both go into a booklet with the child's info for the parents to keep in a safe place in case of emergency (lost or abduction.) It's going to be crazy busy! Hope your weekends go well gals!

Good morning... Scale isn't budging much this week, but I kind of expected that after pretty much starving myself for 2 days and only 2 days of proper eating. I was pleasantly surprised though on Monday that even though the scale isn't moving I'm still losing inches in my waist and hips the two places I need to keep losing. I was reading an article about waist lines 35 inches and under are considered healthy and I'm only 2 inches away from that. It was an article from WEBMD about BMI and how there are other accurate indicators because if you have a lot of muscle mass your BMI might show you're overweight when you are not. I know my teenager has this problem and I could have killed her health teacher this year when she came home all upset that her BMI says she's overweight. She plays soccer and is in fantastic shape, flat stomach, ab muscles, she's very strong and has very sturdy legs and runs 3 miles a day. Stupid health teacher should have been more careful explaining to a 15 year old girl!

I bet the teacher probably didn't even use the proper calculator. There's one here especially for teens from Sanford University: http://fit.webmd.com/teen/bmi/calc-bmi
I hope your daughter can get her head around the difference so that she stays active & healthy!
Congrats on losing inches especially in your 'trouble spots' where you want to!
Combo of will power and 'glass half full' happy dust for you!

Good morning everyone!!! Well my doctor called this morning with the results of my Xray, it showed calcification and kidney stones. I have to go back today and have more blood drawn. Well at least I know what it is now. The pain has been unrelenting and unbearable. Hurts to sit, stand, lift my leg up, bend over, drive etc... Hopefully i'll have some relief soon.... but i'm thinking that these stones are going to have to pass..... what am I in for????

Hi everyone!

Amber, hopefully you are feeling better from your dizziness!

I awoke @ 4:30am with a really bad migraine...and my daughter was up with a nightmare...blech. My migraines are so much better on IP - especially b/c I think a lot were caused by my bad eating habits. But mine are also hormonal, and I think my estrogen has been really high and just plummeted post TOM. So, I burned through two Imitate this AM and am still feeling only about 50%...waiting for a client while kids are at VBS.

Then home for quick lunch...kids off to sitter and back to work before my son's baseball game. Eek...I need a q uintuple espresso! Or maybe some of the fairy dust my daughter was cooking yesterday!!!!

Are you able to have this procedure instead of waiting to pass the stones?

I'm getting excited for my "very important lunch meeting" today, which consists of a bunch of us going to the bar down the street to watch the U.S. vs Germany! I'm scouring the menu for OP foods - most everything comes with a side of fries or potatoes of some sort, but I should be able to sub that out for some veggies. I hope at least!

I'm started to get excited for a NSV. I had two pairs of these jeans that I absolutely LOVED a few years ago. One pair was a tall, so I could wear them with heels. The regular length wore out and I had to toss them, but I still have the tall pair. The store I bought them at doesn't carry them anymore, which disappoints me to no end. I have never had a pair of jeans I loved so much and just felt like they were made for me.

My size 12 shorts are feeling a little loose, and these jeans are an 8. I don't think I'm there yet, but I can't wait to wear them again! Those jeans always made me feel tall and thin and gorgeous. I'm hesitant to try them on before I'm pretty sure they'll fit. But I bet in another 5 pounds they're going to be perfect. I can't decide if I should save the jeans for special occasions, or wear them every day until they're worn out too! Maybe I should wear them out quickly, then go shopping and splurge on a really expensive pair (these cost like $30 - so no surprise they wear out easily).

Look at me, making plans to replace a pair of jeans I'll wear out that I don't even fit in yet

Well....snap! You have renal colic..stones can stay put for years, but if you have really large ones they will break them up usually. Passing stones stink, but at least you'll know what's going on if it happens. My first one, I thought my appendix had burst. After that i knew i wouldn't die (which is a good thing to know when experiencing an incredible amount of pain). I have had them take 30 minutes to pass the ureter up to a couple hours. Take it one day at a time!!!

Default Week four-ism

Today I had an aha moment. I feel like I'm starting to understand, no wait, live by the phrase, "Eat to live rather than live to eat!".

The scale is not bugging for me this week and my instinct tells me to start getting to the gym for exercise. My coach is adamant that there is to be no cardio or aerobics. I am trying to be an obedient student but the Elliptical is something that I actually enjoy.

Can you tell me what you all do for exercise??

I don't know, but I will surely ask my doctor when I see him today. Thank you for the info. I haven't been in this much pain since childbirth! I think I may have passed a stone right before I began IP in May. I woke up one night with severe stomach pain, worse than child birth! I almost went to the er but waited it out. I don't want to go through that again.

I managed to explain her through it. It just upsets me that a teacher wouldn't take the time, teenagers are delicate when it comes to body image, especially girls.

No I'm going to go to the doctor as soon as my daughter wakes up, it was terrible this morning. Hope your migraine starts feeling better soon!
