My son graduated and all of the food selections had already been done. So I added in a lettuce salad and veggie trays but still caved and had macaroni salad and other carbs (yes I had the cake). But I got back on track and today at WI lost .75! Yah. I was so happy!

We are going on vacation this next week (camping) and I already have a plan for my meals and how to stay on track. I will miss WI next week but plan to have a great 2 week weigh in!

The way I see it is no one is perfect and we all slip up from time to time. The important thing is you got right back OP and are sticking with it. Have fun on your vacation.

Old habits die hard. I think I zoned out while cooking dinner tonight, I made meatloaf, wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and put parm cheese in it, so I ate a turkey burger instead and served the meat loaf to the family. Also while making the ketchup/powdered mustard topping I almost licked the spoon, then I almost took a bite of it when it was done. I would have been mad if I unintentionally did that!

It all worked out though bc as I was putting it on the table my DH showed me a news clip showing that there was a recall on beef, not sure where it was, my. Hubby and family still ate the meatloaf but I would not have been able too! Lol

Hi everyone, this is day 3 for me and I have been so extremely tired for the last 2 days. I can't wait for the whoosh of energy that I keep reading about. LOL With Memorial Day weekend coming, I need that whoosh! Hubby will be home for 3 or 4 days so that will make following the protocol more difficult but I WILL persevere.

Lisa: Great quote! I have the tendency to "only" lots of things and I have got to STOP doing that. Thanks for the reminder.

I just realized I ate 2 restricted s in one day!! What should I expect? Out of ketosis?

Hello again! Sorry I dropped off the map, but I was working in Pittsburgh at Quilt Market!! So the good news, I packed my ideal protein to take with me. The bad, luggage was delayed for a day...so....I did stray a bit, but not terribly. I had a banquet dinner, (no bread) chicken, but I did however have some potatoes. Anyway, after that little blip I was back on the program.

I also have a food question. Breyers CarbSmart frozen desert. Can it be a really REALLY restricted food? It's 12 grams of carbs, sweetened with Splenda. A friend of me told me about it and thought it should be something I could have.

I decided to ask the much wiser people here. It would be nice to have something that could fill the small 1/2 cup void where ice cream is concerned. :)

Of course the first answer is anything that's not on the P1 sheet needs to be 0/0/0 and that dessert is not.

I looked at the chocolate dessert - it has 90 calories and 50 of those are from fat so i don't think it even fits into the alternative category.

But look in the recipe threads for frozen desserts - I believe there's one made with vanilla pudding and the orange drink, kind of like an orangesicle. that might hit the spot for you.

It is merely a "Whoops!" And highly, highly doubtful it will affect ketosis. You don't want to use that info to make a habit of it. Just make sure to mark your restricteds when you get them or keep them in a separate location so you have to think about them when you get one to eat.

No need to do anything to compensate... Just carry on with your planned eating!

I've done this, but the first time I literally found a dime under one of the nubby leg things, it was jumping around about 50lbs lol so I moved it, now it's created a habit lol

I had a work dinner tonight. I was a little worried. Totally lucked in! Buffet with grilled chicken, allowable veggies (and ones I liked) and salad with dressing on the side. The dessert buffet was on the other side of the room so I didn't even look. I did feel a little piggish trying to get the two cup equivalent of veggies and enough protein on my plate. For the first time EVER I was the last one at the table to finish eating instead of the first.

Another event tomorrow where I won't be so lucky but I will have more running around to do and I could get away without eating and nobody will notice. Then I can eat my own lunch.

Thank you! I was really worried. I've been on 13 days, lost 11.6 in week one, so very excited about the program!

One day, one oops, move on. If you do it every day your weight will stall (bar-a-holic talking from experience here) Some days I've been stuck and the extra bar in my purse beats the bag o' chips from the corner store. I have been known to have a bag o' beef jerky tho -- again not something to do as a regular thing but in a jam I thought the jerky better than a carb snack.

I feel like Debbie Downer when I mention this but your first week WAS amazing and we celebrate that :carrot: BUT it will probably be your best week. It's hard to see that big number and then see a "2" the next week or something. Just remember the thought of the day -- there are no "only lost" after week one. Every loss -- even .25 is great. For me, a "no gain" is great-- it keeps the scale from going the wrong way.

I tried that when I first got my scale, but (un)fortunately it's a very good one and I had to program it with all my info like age, gender, fitness level, etc. so it's not letting me get away with anything. It doesn't matter where I move it (except carpet - and it knows - gives me an error message) it always reads the same lbs, H2O %, body fat %, and bone density no matter how many times I step on & off it.

Sometimes I think that's a good thing :D ..... and sometimes I don't :s:
