You were right!

Had the Kays Cinnamon Almond Cookie Bites for my snack last night, and they were really good. Sweet and cinnamon-y without tasting like fake flavoring or sweeteners. And like a pp mentioned there were lots in the bag, so I felt like I'd had a really good snack.

oh YEAH! This is a great option! I love "zoodles" way more than the Proti-thin Fusilli (or the shirataki noodles I have used in the past, which I don't even know if can be used on IP, but I think not).

Plus you get to have something else for your "packet". Win-win :)

I just bought the Vegetti thing-o that looks like a big pencil sharpener. I was *very* suspicious of it as it is one of those "As Seen on TV" things you can find in a pharamacy. I LOVE IT. At least for zucchini, haven't tried anything else. Much less waste than when I was doing it with a julienne peeler. Last night I did the wide noodles, like linguini or fettuccine, sauteed with a spritz of olive oil and crushed garlic, with shrimp on top - like shrimp scampi. YUM.

Thanks for the tip, I just saw this on pinterest and was intrigued. :) I too loved the Proti-thin Fusilli pasta and am sad to see it off the shelves for now.

Has anyone tried the pure protein bars as an alternative? I bought a pack at SAMs but the stats seem kind of high, and I wasn't sure if they were allowed? They have 180 cals, 4.5 fat, 40 cal from fat, and 17g carb (2 fiber).

I use them as a restricted item. the cookie dough and chocolate peanut butter bars are what we use on a daily basis.

Can someone tell me if the Simply Protein chips are restricted items?
Thanks!

Yes, the Simply chips are restricted. But yummy!

Quest site free shipping code

Just ordered a sample of each of the 3 Quest chips from their site, 7.17 total for the 3 bags. I entered coupon code MyQuest to get free shipping.

I'm going to be visiting Florida from sept 26-oct 4 and am debating packing my RTD premier protein shakes, or just picking some up while I am down there, since we are only bringing on suitcase between my husband and myself. All I see on Costcos website is a 36 pack, which would be too many. Do they sell it in a smaller size? Also, any other alternatives anyone suggest I look out for while I'm there? I know there is way more stuff than there is here in Canada.

You can purchase Advantage Carb Control drinks at Walmart, Target, Walgreens... and i'm sure other stores. They are comparable to IP drinks.

I just bought an 18-pack of Muscle Milk 100 at BJs (not sure if they're also sold at Costco) for about $25. It is absolutely my preferred RTD, and I've tried a bunch. The Muscle Milk 100 is also available at Walgreens and my local grocery store.

Thanks. I will look for those. :)

If you'll be near a Trader Joes store, they have some IP compliant RTD options.
I also think they have a bar or two that wi fit protocol. Also GNC stores.

Oh I saw something online yesterday that sounded really interesting. Someone recommended microwaving a quest bar for ten seconds to soften it up, then breaking it into little pieces. Then baking the little pieces until crunchy. It basically became like cereal! Then she served it with a small dash of unsweetened almond milk (we could use a splash of RTD). She said the cookies and cream bar was like eating cookie crisp cereal and the cinnamon roll bar was like cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I'm not sure if I'll try it, but thought if share. It's amazing how many people modify healthier versions of good to fit their cravings! Love the creativity!

Wal Mart carries the Pure Protein RTD shakes, and I've used those often. You can also usually pick up the EAS Carb AdvantEDGE shakes at most drugstores and big box stores.

Hi trinny, Just curious how many you have in a typical day. I used them extensively--both yummy and IP friendly. I would have 2/day, sometimes even 3. Then I developed an itchy flaky scalp that was beyond horrible. Switching to Designer Whey shakes cured it almost overnight.

If anyone else has this issue, the whey rtd shakes are now at Target, about $7 for a pack of 4, chocolate or vanilla. They aren't as sweet as Muscle Milk--probably just as well for me. Muscle Milk is soooo yummy!

I drink one or two a day and haven't had a problem with dry skin or itchy scalp. Even though they're unrestricted, I save them for my treats because they taste so good! I also drink the EAS RTDs. I stocked up on them when they were on sale a while back, so I feel like I need to get through the stockpile before switching to just the Muscle Milk even though I prefer it.
