Hi everyone, I am so glad to be in the August group. Would anyone be interested in posting progressive pitcures of ourselves as we lose, say once a month,? Might be a fun way to show off and congratulate each other!

Your are in my thoughts and prayers for your current health crisis.

I'm in Week 8 / Phase 1. I'm finally breaking through some stalls. It's fascinating how I can lose 1" with only just a few pounds of the scale while on IP.

I started 8/25 and I'm down 14 lbs. So far so good. After the three day withdrawal it has been pretty good. Except for attending 1 pro football game, 1 college football game and 1 pro baseball game. I am proud to say that I have not cheated but it was hard not having a beer!! The secret is eat before you go and take a bar in your pocket.

I like that idea, scary but would be good for actually seeing the difference and cheering everyone on.

Ditto, I Like that idea and it would be scary. But to be able to look back and say WE did it and never want to go back would be a great reminder.

I will try to get a photo up tomorrow. In the meantime, I went to m spin class today, and an acquaintance I haven't seen in a while said "Hi Skinny" when she saw me! I was floored, flattered, and beaming! Mega NSV today.
WI is tomorrow, and my cale says down 21 pounds...
Carry on you can do it!

Day 31 for me down 22 pounds and 13 inches :) feeling great other than this head cold !

slownsteady 09-11-2013 11:16 PM

I am getting anxious for my Friday weigh in (3rd weigh in)! I feel like I should have a pretty good result, but can never tell! I KNOW I have stayed 100% OP, and I know I have lost inches, but will just have to wait to see what the scale says. I do get a little nervous that it will be less than my expectations - which has always sabotaged me in the past. Won't let that happen this time. Too many examples on this site that prove if I am just patient and stick with it, I will achieve my goal!!

PS - I hope to get the courage to post a picture eventually - not there yet :)

Hi Slownsteady - you know you've got IP friends who are there on the side-lines rooting for ya! You should just feel amazing knowing that you've been 100% OP and regardless of what the scale reads, you know that you will continue to drop if you continue down this same very path.. I totally get what you're saying though, I got in the habit of self sabotaging my efforts on past diets when I didn't see movement, I was so disappointed that I would divert from the plan altogether. Then, after the binge or whatever, I would be even more down in the dumps.. It feels great to start breaking that cycle and to be 100% committed because I now, I'm in control. Just as you are and the next fellow IP'er. So, plan ahead and make the proper choices for you and you will see that you will continue to benefit in the end. Right? Right!

I can't wait to hear your results.:) I go for my 3rd WI on Saturday AM. It's exciting. Will report back, for sure.

Have a great day everyone!

Work lunch out today. I'm nervous but I have a plan. I just have to remember my mission. And think about what I want more -- a non IP food or a healthier future. The good news is that someone else will be cutting/prepping my lunch veggies today! Yahoo!
Happy Thursday Augusters!

KareVT 09-12-2013 07:34 AM

vachinyc - good luck today and go armed with your selection (sounds like you already have decided how to navigate through the work lunch). I'm curious to hear how you handle it and what choices you make so please, report back if you are able. You'll do great, just have faith in yourself. You know what you need to do in order to be successful and you're strong enough to execute on it. Go get 'em!!:goodvibes <--sending positive vibes your way!

Good luck Slownsteady! You are already doing so well. You are winning by trying 100% OP.

Positive thoughts for 65. Hope everything works out ok. You inspire us newbies for sure.

Congrats whitesandybeaches! Awesome!

Have a great vacation Nolasmurf.
