2nd day and tired of water!
I got my 8 glasses in yesterday, but I am so tired of plain water. I just made a nice lemonade with lemon juice and a small amount of truvia. I hope this is legal!

And if it is not legal, will you give up dieting? IP is a diet that works fast because it bring upon a large deficit in calories. Being in ketosis helps you because it eliminates hunger to a large extent. It may also help you preserve muscle over fat. What IP is not: a religion that only works if you follow it to the letter. For every pound lost you need to cut 3500 calories. How many calories do you add to your diet with some lemon juice and truvia? If this makes dieting possible for you long-term, then do it. However, if you feel you take more control over what you eat/drink by also cutting out lemon juice/truvia form your diet and this in the long-term makes you more successful, then just drink water.
If you want to loose the weight, then you need to find out what works best for you. Some people need absolutely strict rules they can follow and others don't. |
get propel to add to your water, it is legal on IP
|
Are u drinking 8 glasses or 8 cups
HUGE difference I found because most glasses hold at least 2 cups (16oz) :) |
Also regarding Truvia: It contains some carbs. I have no sweet tooth and therefore use stevia in miniscule amount, but if you use more and/or are worried about carbs/calories, maybe switch to raw stevia. I always prefer to use the least altered product.

At first it is tougher, but as time goes on you will find that your tastes buds are changing and you will like the taste of plain water a little more. You may also notice you don't like things very sweet. Many of us have discovered Sparkling Ice drinks and they have some yummy flavors. They are 0/0/0 and are aspartame free. They aren't too sweet, but are really tasty. I have one with my evening meal or sometimes during the day. I only have one a day so I don't replace all my water with them, which would be very easy to do. Good luck to you! |
I am filling a special picture with 8 cups (64 oz) and I make sure it is consumed before I go to bed. In truth, I probably consume more than that because I like to add crushed ice to it and chomp on it sometimes.
Lemons are on my "seasonings" list, so I figured that was okay, but I was not sure about the truvia. And lolo, to answer your question, if it is not legal, I will not give up on IP. I am truly committed to make a change, I was just hoping for a little encouragement and suggestions with how to perk up my water intake. |
Dak, can you tell me about the sparkling water? That sounds wonderful. I fully intend to drink just plain old water most of the time, but you know how it is, sometimes a little something different can break the monotony.

As for the water.. Most of us learn to handle the H2O requirement as we adjust to the diet, just as some have to adjust to eating more veggies...LOL.... and no butter or cheese sauce! Some days will be harder than others, but having the amount "ready to go" helps. Also remember 64 oz is the minimum...many of us do set a personal goal of getting down a bit more. I find taking water in the car is helpful. For some reason I can get at least two 16 oz bottles down ...no problem when out doing errands. one on the way to wherever...and one more on the way home. Good luck! |
Both Sparklng Ice and Cascade Ice are fizzy flavored water 0/0/0 so legal on IP. Sweetened with Splenda (legal) and not Asparatame like diet soda (not legal because of Asparatame). I have found Sparkling Ice at Walmart and Cascade Ice at my suoer market (shop Rite). I prefer the Cascade but both are good with lots of fruit flavors and lemonade and ice tea as well.
I, like many others, also use Mio (or similar water flavor drops - check for no Asparatame). I keep the flavor very light, just enough for a hint of flavor. Track your use and losses. Some people find it can stall them but many use w/o any problems. |

My coach told me a little trick to help get my water in. She said that every time I take a drink to make it 4 big gulps, instead of a just one. That way, I am drinking more each time I take a drink. This has seemed to help me. But beware....you are probably noticing you need to know where all the restrooms are! lol. |
I use the drink mix that IP offers.. I was using crystal light, but my coach told me to limit it to 1 a day.. I am down to 1 or 2 a week.. I also dislkie plain water so I always have something in my water. :D

I like Ideal Protein's new Mangosteen water enhancer -- but I add it to more water than they suggest. I think they say add it to 16.9 oz cold water, and I add it to my 24 fl oz bottle. It also helps with electrolytes during hot weather. I usually mix up a bottle and drink it while I'm doing gardening/yard work.

While it might be legal ..you could also consider.... 1. Use the IP drinks mixes (blueberry-cran, orange drink, pineapple banana)...and instead of just mixing them with the recommended 8oz of water, double or triple that amount (or whatever amount you want really) and add ice. I got myself larger Blender Bottles "SportMixer" from bath bed and beyond that hold 28oz ...i almost fill this with water and some ice. It really helps increase water intake.(guess they are on amazon also) 2. Depending on where you live, you should be able to find Sparkling Ice http://www.sparklingice.com/?gclid=C...FSVxQgodNFwAEg Now i wouldn't suggest you drink these all day every day but its a nice change from plain water. I like to mix mine with some San Pellegrino mineral water. Its a fun treat away from plain old tap water. Esp nice to have if others around you are par taking in illegal adult beverages You want water to ensure you are mostly drinking plain water...it really helps the body to flush out the toxins while not having to manage anything else to process. Good luck :jig: |
In my fridge I keep a pitcher of "flavored water". Lemon, lime or cucumber mint just for a change
