Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say how thankful I am to have found this great forum. I am on day three of IP. I am doing it with my partner who is diabetic and was getting worse by the day. His doctor suggest this diet and I told him it will be a journey we will make together. Look forward to participating and learning from the collective wisdom!!!

Welcome and good luck to you and your partner. I am a diabetic and after losing 25 pounds, I stopped taking my metformin. My recent A1C was 5.2 which is being managed and maintained by diet alone. You both can do this.

I am a newbie here and to IP too. I couldn't have said it better myself. This forum is great as are all the people I have "met" so far. Thank you to everyone who provides guidance and inspiration to each of us.
