  • Anyone else have dreams about food/nightmares about cheating? I had a dream that I broke down and went and got an Egg McMuffin, then turned the car around to go get another! I was eating and crying but still was going to go get another one. Funny thing is next morning I had all the guilt as if I had really cheated and it motivated me to continue being good. Anyone else have one to share?
  • I had my first food dream last night. I don't remember the details but I woke up feeling horrified so it couldn't have been good!
  • yah i've been having a few of these....i usually eat things i shouldn't be and then end up spiting them out in my dreams after one bite...and then crying ...
  • Thanks for sharing guys! Glad I'm not the only one.
  • Day before yesterday my husband said I started shaking him and sayin, "the kids are gone, we can eat all the pizza!"
  • LOL alaskagirl that's brilliant.!
  • I dreamed I ate 3 peanut M&Ms lol and I was so mad at myself for cheating! I also was crying in my sleep ..
  • In my dream last night, I ate half a gallon of ice cream...LOL
  • Yes.. dreamt I snuck in the bathroom to eat a Twinkie... woke up looking at my hands to see if I saw the evidence... was actually pretty funny
  • Ha ha ha these are all cracking me up! Thanks for sharing guys!
  • OMG - I love that you were eating and crying, but driving back for me. That made me laugh so hard.

I have had SO MANY of these dreams. Mostly involving cookies and cake - like running a trainwreck on some of them then trying to scrap it out of my mouth. I am pleased to announce that my food dreams have ended.
  • I have also had these!! Feel so guilty or tempted when I wake up.
Drug and alcohol addicts have the so called "user dreams" and I think the fact that we have them speaks loudly about the use of junk food as a drug!!!!!!!

I know, it's embarrassing but you gotta laugh! And I'm happy for you that the food dreams have ended

Agree 100%. I am astonished that my dream self was going back for another one, despite the fact I felt guilty enough to cry AND hadn't finished my first one yet!! I think that dream was a combination of fears of cheating and fears of reverting back to bingeing habits.
  • During my first week, I had a dream that I ate a whole bag of cookies without even realizing it at first. I woke up feeling scared as if it were real. Took me a few minutes to recognize it was only a dream!
  • I have had several food dreams, very similar to everyone else. Either I take a bite and spit it out... and then take another bite. Or, I eat something and realize I am on a diet after I have eaten the whole thing. I did that with a peanut butter sandwich of thick whole wheat bread and then ran around yelling at people, "I didn't know there were carbs!" It was quite melodramatic.
I have several great cheer leaders at work (It helps to be the boss, haha) who I tell my dreams to and they get a kick out of it.
