Has anyone done IP and hot yoga at the same time? I know you sweat alot during the classes as I've done a couple in the past. Not sure if that would affect my losses or not. My body is stiff and I have lots of pain so looking for some relief.
I have been told absolutely no to hot yoga.
My coach said no to hot yoga, but that "regular" yoga was okay. Maybe you could find a class that isn't a hot class?
I did HOT yoga the entire 40lb , 5 months I was losing. I was doing it before IP too. I did need to be very aware of my energy and calories prior to class. I would have an extra IP snack for energy or at times I used protein powders in my water.
Know yourself and your body. It did not accelerate my weight loss. It did make me feel great and toned me up.
thanks everyone. I haven't had a chance to ask my coach yet. There are regular classes I could do, but prefer the hot ones. I am going to try a beginner's class tonight, just to see how I feel. If I feel light headed I will leave the class (not sure if you're allowed to do this though).
Workingit50 were your classes 60 mins? did you find that it slowed your losses though?
My classes were 60-90 minutes. I usually did 60 mins, longer classes did take too much out of me.
It did not slow my loss but it did not accelerate either. It is really important to add the extra calories for these classes. As mentioned, I did this for over a year prior to IP so I was very accustom to the class, heat, activity level.
Also, my coach supported this exercise on P1.
I did a class last night for 60 mins and I was sweating buckets. It was a beginner's class but I found it pretty difficult. I have only done Hot Yoga 3 times prior. I didn't feel light headed but as soon as I got home I also drank a RTD shake. Thanks again for the advise. I only signed up for 2 weeks of Yoga so will give it a try and see how it's impacting me.
Hot Yoga classes
Hi, I started on a hot yoga class and now experiencing no weight loss in 3 weeks but have lost in inches and body fat. Wondering whether to continue or to stop the classes- please advice
I have done P1 and hot yoga and didn't notice any ill effects. I love hot yoga and no diet would ever stop me from doing it or my other exercise routines.

know your body and how it reacts to excercise when you have not eaten a great deal. I tried hot yoga a couple of times on IP and found that I would get faint/dizzy during the class and then have a hard time recovering after.
