Is there a link to a printable Journal page somewhere up above in the stickies? I've tried browsing through there looking, but so far have not found one. I did find a link someone had posted to a .pdf file a member had made a long time ago, but that is no longer available.
I realize a lot of people here use the My Fitness Pal app. I may move to that later, but I really like the process of stopping and writing down, pen to paper.
Thanks - and Happy 4th of July!

Does anyone use Purdue Shortcuts for their protein? I was thinking about adding to salads during P2 for easy lunches. Thanks

Hi Peacock...here is something I found pretty quickly...there are also loads of things on Pinterest which are cutesy...that you can probably customize.

This link however; appears really functional!

Morning all, doing my weekly check in. Lost another 4 pounds this week. Quite happy about that I must say. I'm off work for the next two months and have been enjoying the time off immensely. I haven't done anything holiday-like yet but the nice part is I haven't had to go into work.

NSV for me this week - had to buy a few new clothes - again - and low and behold my shirt size is XL down from a 3-4 XL. The shorts I bought were a 2XL but I'm sure I could have gotten away with an XL in those as well.

The thing I'm struggling with at the moment is feeling/looking like a planet. Now I don't mean as in I'm as big as a planet more like I feel like the planet Saturn. With my weight loss I now have this drooping ring around my middle. Call it an apron, a muffin top, I simply refer to it as the rings of Saturn.

I will truly have to have my man card permanently revoked if I start to consider wearing Spanx. LOL.

Hope everyone has a good week, Happy Fourth of July.

Good morning everyone!!!
Happy 4th of July to my neighbours to the south!!

A few questions:
1. So I know that the diet is created to lose weight fast. I'm 26, started at 229 but plan to go down to about 140. Does skinny fat occur on this diet? Will I still need a tuck of some sort to get rid of excess skin? Anyone have experience?

2. I always, ALWAYS forget my two evening cal-mags. Are they important? If yes, what are some ways to remember to take them?

3. Chicken breast. Is one an 8oz serving? I hope so because I can barely get the one down...

TIA!!! (thanks in advance)

1. This will be individual
2 Set an alarm
3 measure. Different chickens are different sizes. You'll need a food scale to do IP

1. Individuals will experience different results
2. Put the bottle on your night stand, set an alarm, or put a post-it note on your bathroom mirror so you see it when brushing your teeth
3. Chicken breasts come in different sizes...a food scale is your friend (you should have been using one already!)

Hi Kryssybee..
1. I think the fat/tummy tuck is real individual...age...skin elasticity..how much you have lost etc. I'm "older"...and looks like there will be "some" excess skin when I am done...but for the last 3 months have been doing toning/resistance exercise. At this stage about 75% of my weight off now, and I'll reevaluate after 6mos -1yr at a holding pattern...In reality, I am not sure it will impact what size and how my clothes fit. For me that is probably more a function of a genetic blessing like longevity than standard!
2. In the morning I always portion out my vitamins and the two RX meds I take during the day. It's a pain in the neck to get the containers out more than 1X/day!! I use tiny glass kitchen "prep" bowls for spices...and keep them out. For me, taking the last doses when cleaning up the kitchen works really well...But if you are more efficient than me...LOL...(and not OCD about the kitchen at night) and save loading the DW til AM, then maybe you can find another place to leave your last dose...TV room? Bathroom by your toothbrush??
3. Invest in a kitchen scale...it's worth it. You can get one that is decent for about $20. If your budget allows a bit more...there are some really nice ones that look OK out...(It's no good no matter what you pay if you pack it away in a cabinet...

Good luck...! Ask away your questions...you'll get lots of ideas...someone here will probably have a method that works for you and answers to your wonderings!!!

Good Morning All and Happy Independence Day! WI 6 went well last night, down another 5! I ended up making plans to go to a friend's to grill tonight so this will be my first "outing" not with my family.

Anticipated struggles: she lives in the back of the liquor store she owns and everyone will be drinking. I am also unsure exactly what she is planning on grilling so I can supplement with my own OP foods if necessary.

Plan for success: bring plenty of water. Also flavored stevia drops so I am drinking something "fun" as well. Be DD so if we go somewhere everyone is safe anyway! After sleeping on the food plan last night, I have decided to just ask my friend what is on the menu and explain. While I had not been wanting to broadcast the diet (although my body is starting to do that for me! ), realistically it is a very small town/county and people have seen me at my coach's office anyway, so I am just going to be upfront and bring whatever I need.

To loosely quote Lisa on a Daily Chat a few days ago "to fail to plan is to plan to fail." So now I have fun plans with my friends and a plan to stay OP tonight. Success!

We're headed to a family BBQ today so I'm bringing my IP cucumber salad to share. I figure, if I have to bring a dish, why not bring one I can enjoy too? I plan on packing plenty of water, MIO, and some cut up veggies with WF Creamy bacon dressing. I find the creamy bacon works great on burgers too! I will have to pass on all of the other side dishes, I'm sure, but will break out one of my bars when people start chowing down on dessert.

I feel so much better about going to a social gathering and staying OP. The party starts at 2, but we're going at 4:30 so we aren't sitting around all of that food for hours before dinner. Having a plan really helps!

Sounds like your prepped and ready to enjoy the party and people and not the food!!! Woo hoo!!! I have WF Creamy bacon in my fridge and have yet to try it...maybe I'll crack it open today and give it a shot!

Today is day 7 of my reboot! I'm feeling great and totally "in the IP Zone"!!!

HAPPY Independence Day!!! Go America!!! <3

Smile 2nd round's the charm!

Hi gang! I started my first round on St Patty's and had done so well that I thought I knew best..and started to snarf a piece of chocolate here and there at work; then "only" a glass of wine and one "little piece of bread" going out to dinner...and despite realizing that I was sabatoging only myself, I just was skating (not committing) to IP.

I was enroute to WI when I found myself CONSCIOUSLY going to drive thru for those chocolate chip cookies and a diet coke. That is when I knew I can't do this alone or "on my own". So this is Day 3 of my second round--and ya know what? I am full! I wasn't regularly eating veggies so no wonder my "anxiety eating" gravitated to junk!

I don't know how I found this blog but soooo glad I did as the Sticky Info --especially about cheating!--really helped "get my mind right"!!!

Thanks for listening!
