Good Morning-
LOVE it..."The Real Cost of Cheating" found in the daily chat now. More likely to get looked at by newbies and really easy to pull up for the rest of us who have been in the trenches for a while...and want to re-read and recharge!
Thx Lisa.
Good morning all! Yesterday, day 3, was a real struggle. Not only did I still feel weak & fatigued, for the first time I had extreme hunger and cravings. I think the cravings were due to the situations I was in: at the movies, surrounded by popcorn; at dinner, surrounded by french fries. Buuuuuut...... I stayed OP! I would say 100%, but that isn't exactly true as I had 1 1/2 restricted items. I was cravings so much when I got home I had half a strawberry wafer packet, but I figured that was the healthiest option available. It made me realize that to be more prepared, I probably need to have prepared non-restricteds around. I only had soy puffs, bars, and wafers.
I really appreciate all the time and effort people have put into making this place so informative. When I went to dinner I did a quick search for the restaurant name and even came up with a sauce I could have (1 tbsp) with my grilled chicken. I hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome. It's there for those who take the time to read the info there. I still see SOOO many comments that make me know people are missing out on all of those wonderful resources.
if you are new...set aside some time to read through those long threads linked in post 1 EVERY DAY in this thread. You'll learn SO MUCH and have your recipes. It's all right there for you! It just takes time to read. So many questions answered just by reading. All of those who have done it know! It is how we all learned

I see you have no goal yet. Why don't you make your first one 10% of your body weight while you figure out your goal? Then you'll have something you're working toward and you'll get there SO FAST! (Round-up: 25)
You did really hard stuff on day 3. Take it easy on yourself until you settle in to Ketosis. That way you can make 100% OP choices. Allowing one little cheat in can loosen resolve and allow others. Best choice is UNrestriced extra packet. Those were allowed by my coach the first week.
Stay strong, stay OP and 10% will melt away in no time!
Over the weekend I had asked about keeping a food diary. Lots of you answered my question and thanks for that. I downloaded MFP as a few suggested. Boy that is a great app!!!! Thanks for all the help
Had a great weekend - I made it through a pool party/BBQ, Street Fair, and drinks on our back deck with neighbors totally ON PLAN! This is huge for me as I have never made it 100% through a weekend before (even my first go around, where I lost about 25 lbs).
Feeling pretty proud. And excited to see the scale this morning (although tomorrow is my "official weigh in".
Hi all! Just finished my first week, down a fantastic 8.2 lbs! However, does anyone else feel like they get colds more frequently while on this diet? I would say for me I have been sick (head cold) 4 out of the last 7 days and still just trying to power through this

Ugh. Summer colds are the worst.
I caught one from someone spreading a virus in May.
But all-in-all, I've found myself HEALTHIER on IP. Cold viruses usually have about a 10-day life. I wouldn't blame IP for that.
I made some chicken soup with lots of veggies at the time (whole roasted chicken, meat & veggies in a pot, used the carcass to make the broth, tossed the skin). Drank a lot of herbal tea, pureed my veggies in chicken broth & got extra rest.
Good morning. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Back at work. Congrats on everyone's losses and good luck to everyone who has a WI. Have a GREAT day!!
Good Morning to all have not been around for awhile been on the run. My husband and have donated a Allis Chalmer tractor to Relay for Life. This year we bought one and had it painted pink for breast cancer. At this time of year in Iowa there are all kinds of parades so the people that bought the tractor gave us permission to drive them in parades so every weekend that is what I have been doing. I have been sticking to my diet and have been losing but not real fast because not sticking 100% so the article on cheating was really good to read. Anyway missed reading all your articles.
P1 Day 14 - trying two new things today. Rutabaga (as fries) and my new countertop oven. I bought turkey breast "fillets" last night....does anyone have any good recipes for those?
