I have never done this before so I hope I am doing it correctly. If I am not I would greatly appreciate some help. I am in my 4th week of IP. I can not eat all do the foods that we are supposed to eat and I get quite nauseous as I eat and when finished. I primarily have the choc drink. I am taking all the supplements and adding the salt to my choc drinks. I am not loosing much and coach says it may be due to not eating all that is on the protocol Has anyone had this problem? Loss of appetite? Nausea past the first week?

Today starts my 5th week on IP with alternative products- I'm down 18.8! Wednesday marks my 1st month done, so I'm hoping to be down 20lbs, and with that i'd also be out of the 200's! I'm super excited and motivated!

The first post in this thread has a link to the Fun With Veggie Puree thread
There you will find many ideas to add veggies to packets. This is. A great way to get in veggies without adding a lot of bulk.

Try cutting out the packets containing soy (ask your coach for assistance with ingredients) and see if that helps with nausea. If not, try cutting out Sucralose (it is in almost every sweet packet, however).

The "Ketosis flu" or carb withdrawal symptoms should have subsided by now so SOMETHING else is causing the nausea. What I don't understand is why your coach hasn't tried to help you figure it out.

Ketosis can greatly reduce appetite (which is why we like it) but you shouldn't be nauseated all the time. There isn't a chance of pregnancy is there?

Good morning peeps...need some encouragement. Cheated bad this weekend and this morning, a "hangover". I'm going through a divorce and super depressed, thought popcorn, chocolate and a cinnamon roll would "help". Yeah...Just very sad and not feeling like my weight (or myself) is very important as pathetic as that sounds...

Trying a super-restrictive diet while going thru a divorce?
Will you be able to put the emotional eating on the back-burner or is there a gentler approach for yourself at the present time?
I've been through a divorce. I'm not sure I would have been able to do IP then.

I've learned that weight loss is mostly mental attitude. If I'm not in a good place emotionally, it could carry over to my success on a diet plan.

I'm not trying to discourage you but have you look at the whole picture. Sometimes when life is out of control, we try to grab ahold of one little piece of it to fix.

IP works but we have to be ready for IP.

Good Morning,
I have stayed OP now for 12weeks now and have lost 30 lbs. I have about 9 more lbs to go and finding it hard to stay focused. I have been having the feelings of just wanting to eat. Not necessarily hungry.(although, there have been days I'm starving.). just want food. I have been drinking my water.. I sometime forget my supplements..but staying OP. Have any of the maintainers have this issue when getting close to goal?

Thanks for your honesty, you too Lisa. I agree, the financial burden of IP asside, I feel like I can't do this alone...my mood swings are horrible (add to that menopause). I have 2 children who are also hurting, they need me too. If I put the diet on hold, will I regain everything?? I was thinking of doing a 1200 cal diet for now, with a cheat day. I don't know...pffff....

I'm so sorry .... be gentle on yourself. Maybe pick it back up when you're not going through something like this. Don't go nuts in the meantime with food but focus more on your well being and doing nurturing things for yourself.... long walks, calming music or simply a good friend to talk to. Take care of yourself.

every day is a new day. start fresh every single morning and give it your best because it's for YOU, to make you happier, fitter, feel better. it's the best gift you can give yourself. and you do deserve it.

I really like floridasunshine's words. I'm struggling right now on Day 21. Woke up at 5 am starving. Ate lunch already at noon and now counting down the minutes to the afternoon snack. But I know I am doing the best I can.
