I''m going to go dress shopping now because there is no way I'm wearing a sleeveless dress. If I wait much longer I'm not going to be able to find anything with a 3/4 sleeve.
I bought a couple of shrugs at Target: a white one and a black one. Figured these would be my lifesavers in just such situations. These arms are looking worse & worse! I think it is definitely time for some toning exercises for them. It might help a tad. We'll see. I'm looking at my wedding pics from 6 years ago. I was probably about 190 then. The arms definitely like to hold weight
My dress for the wedding in May is sleeveless. I'll wear the black shrug with it. Viola! Short sleeves!

Thanks for starting the new thread. I might buy a shrug if I can find one that is very light weight, and comes down to my elbows.
The combination of extra skin and fat on my arms really grosses me out sometimes. It droops towards the elbow, when I lift my arms at all it looks wrinkled (folds) and lumpy fat. Sometimes I feel like a Shar Pie puppy, but it's not so cute on a person.

I totally hear you on flabby looking arms! My arms look pretty thin when they're down, but as soon as I lift them up, the skin just hangs! I also think it is definitely time for some toning exercises for them.
I love this thread - so much positive stuff and information. Helps keep me motivated, so thanks!
Congrats, Ruth Ann!
I love this thread, too.
I gravitated here when I first joined (I think I lurked for at least a month before I trusted myself to stay OP enough to post here)
Besides the positive energy, I needed a place that was cheat-free.
I KNOW how to cheat. It got me to 260 lbs, continuously tying over & over again to lose weight. What I didn't know how to do was love myself enough to commit to a plan no matter what.
The other 100%ers have helped me with that for 9 months now (today, in fact!).
Some people come to this thread who struggle to stay OP, but they don't tell us about cheats here. That's perfectly okay. We all need each other!
We just talk about what we can do and what we are doing to stay OP & power thru, rather than figuring out excuses to cheat. Just knowing there were people who were really doing it without cheating has probably been the #1 thing that has kept me on track for the past 9 months.
So...to all you 100%ers: Hats off to all of you!! I couldn't be doing it without you!
Thanks Ragdoll & Lisa - I am so stoked! Seeing the scale move down for the first time in years is super motivating!
And Lisa, that's one of the things I like about this thread - cheat-free. I don't want to cheat, I want to stay 100% OP. So reading how other people have and are doing it is so helpful and inspiring.
I know that this is supposed to be for the 100% OP only, but I have a question. I have been 100% in terms of carb intake, but since last week, I've increased my fat intake to more than the 1-2 tsp a day prescribed on the sheet. I feel a million percent better. I was so exhausted before. Just no energy, couldn't focus, etc. Which was not convenient since I was trying to move apartments. Just curious if anyone else uses more fat. I know that there is an another Dr Tran version of the low carb/low calorie/low fat diet where you are allowed more like 1 or 2 tablespoons of healthy fat per day. That's more where I am at. I just couldn't handle the super low energy/brain fog any longer.

I don't consider that a cheat, as long as it's within reason ( like adding another tsp.) Everybody's body is different so if it means you need a tiny bit more oil, then I say go for it. Some people can't handle the restricteds because they are so carb sensitive. There are also coaches who recommend measuring all the food after cooking and those clients still lose. (I find that one shocking because I'm having a heck of a time losing on the calories measuring everything raw.)
Just make sure you log all of it so you can see how it's affecting your losses. It may be that you only need to increase every few days.
I posted this in the daily chat group as well but I am just so happy I have to share here as well.....
I went for my first weigh in at noon - I am down....... 9.8lbs! and 3 1/4" !!! I just fell in love with this diet!!! happy doesn't even begin to explain it!
17-20lbs left to go and I'll be the smallest I have ever been, so depending on how I look/feel I may stop before that. But time will tell
