Yay! Almost there, sending the whoosh fairy your way

Going to be digging out after a huge dumping of snow yesterday. That's some heart-attack snow out there. If you're in the midwest, take your time and don't overdo it!

If you're in the northern east coast area hunker down and ride out the storm. Be safe and stay home if you can.

Good job A1texan!!

Well I've been looking at information regarding veggies and stomach pains and the information that I'm reading is saying to lightly steam all veggies because when you get older it is harder for your body to break the raw ones down. I think the idea is moderation and getting in tune with your body. Mine seems to be telling me to steam my veggies lol.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Great weigh-in! Come on whoosh fairy!

Hit Onederland yesterday! I haven't under 200 since before I got married 5 years ago. So here's to 77.5 lbs gone forever. Too all of you just starting or struggling- stick with it and you will get there!

Good morning all!!
Great WI today, Tex! You'll be in onederland in no time!
Trina, I have a cast iron stomach so raw veggies don't bother me at all, but I've heard that some people are more sensitive to them. Maybe just nuke em for a few minutes before eating?

I was about to make my coffee this morning at the office, opened up the package that i thought was choc drink and discovered that I had grabbed mushroom soup instead! So I ate the cinn crunchies for breakfast instead. Now I have chicken soup for lunch and mushroom soup for snack...bleh!

But on a good note, down one more notch on my belt! I used to wear a belt to keep the waist band on my pants from flipping down when I sat (belly bulge)...now I wear them to keep my pants up!!! Hubby's gonna start throwing my jeans away if I don't buy some new ones soon! He's been calling me "saggy Maggie" and "droopy drawers" for over a week now! LOL

I like to have something within 1 hour of waking up. That includes drinking some water. Gotta get that body some energy to burn and "stoke the fire" so to speak!

WHEW! Just spent 1.5 hours with the snowblower...still shaking a bit. I got manhandled by the snow blower! That is some killer snow out there. Decided to have an extra packet after all that work, I came back inside and was starving. If I wait until lunch, I'll probably make a bad choice. Going to chug some water after I'm done with my shake.

Way to go A1Texan!!!!!

Peppertown: my coach told me to eat within 30 minutes of waking to get my metabolism going. I try my hardest, but it is usually within an hour for me.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!!

For me, it's usually about an hour and a half. I have my RTD on the drive to work. I enjoy it too much to suck it down between showering and blowing my hair dry! Also, I often don't get a chance to eat again until noon, so eating before 8 would leave me starving by lunch.

***

Last night, we went to the movies. Standard procedure is, of course, giant buttered popcorn, candy, and soft drink. But I brought my bottle of water and my very first restricted item (a bar -- chocolate peanut somethingorother). DH still went with standard protocol, so the fragrance of the popcorn was killer. I managed fine, but when he kissed me with that butter-candy-mouth, I told him he just blew my diet.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend. Good luck with all that snow blowing and shoveling. Definitely nothing I have ever experienced, but it sounds dreadful.

I work evenings so my meal routine is very different but it has worked for me. For instance, I have had my coffee, going to have breakfast now. I have decided I like taking a drink to work for lunch and then eat my biggest meal between 6:30-7. I hate having all the veg then, but sometimes it can't be helped. I have my non-restrict snack when I come home usually after midnight. I think everyone has to find what works for their lifestyle.

Wow. Congrats to those passing into onederland!

Yikes for the snow, it is headed our way this afternoon (upstate NY) We don't have a snowblower, sold it when we moved to NC for a few years for work. We have a really long driveway and hubby should not shovel, he has had a heart attack and has 3 stents. Forget me doing it sholder, back and neck surgery, plus just got my foot out of boot for torn tendon. I guess we will just have to stay in stocked the fridge yesterday, knowing the snow was on its way.
