OT - For Fun -- What do you do for a living?
 
Hey all!

Just wondering what we all do for a living.

I work for the Federal government and manage a Northrop Grumman and IBM contract.

What about you?

I work with special needs children in the school district as well as for the state. Also a student getting my degree in Elementary Education. Oh, and a mom of 4. :)

I'm a clerk at the blood donor clinic - Canadian Blood Services. We supply Plasma and Platelets as well as Whole Blood to all the hospitals in the province where I live! ...and the mother of one wonderful daughter who's pursuing her dream as a professional actor!

Fun topic!
I work as a speech pathologist in the public school system. Currently, I work with special needs 3- and 4-year old children.
I'm also a mom of a wonderful "tween" boy (11 years old).
And caretaker of two rescue dogs, two rabbits, and one parakeet!:D

I'm a nurse practitioner in a 800 bed urban trauma center...but I work in cardiac electrophysiology, not very exciting...cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and internal defibrillators!

I'm a Labor and Delivery nurse, and I love my job! I also have 2 children, 19 yo daughter and 15 yo son... And a husband! All have been super supportive of me, and I now have my daughter on a phase one boot camp, which makes it easier for me!

I work for Transamerica Life Insurance. I am in the premium and collections department which means anything to do with payments, money, bank drafts etc I deal with.

Hoping by summer to have a different job, hoping part time so I can be home part time with my kids!

I'm a research coordinator- the study I'm working on involves cancer patient treatment decisions. I like it but I'm still figuring out what I want to do when I "grow up." :)

I'm a kitchen and bathroom designer, but also design any room that involves cabinetry, like living rooms (built in bookcases, entertainment centers), home offices, etc. I used to be a nurse and still have my license, but after my kids were off to school, I wanted to try something fun so I went back to school!

I am now retired, but was a Research Chemist ( analytical chemistry) for 20 yrs and then was sent back for Business Degree and was Operations Mgr for Cleanrooms and biomaterials.
Now I play, I love quilt and paint and I do volunteer work :)

I am a 4th grade teacher. I spend all day with 29 nine and ten year olds. I have my BA in political science and my masters in education (social sciences). I have been teaching for 8 years now.

I am also a military wife and mom to my 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Stepmom to a 15 year old teenage girl (who lives with us full time- hardest job of my life).

I am also an RN (so many of us!). I left the clinical setting ~10 years ago for pharma/biotech and am a Pharmacovigilance Scientist working with MS products. Basically, assessing safety data and determining if the benefit/risk balance of our products remains favorable.

I am a SAHM but my kid is getting older so I should probably go back to work. Scary thought after being out of the job market for 8yrs. Before that, I guess I was a jack of all trades, master of none. I've had many different professional jobs...for fed. congress, state leg., public univer., I have undergrad degrees in international business and foreign lang., masters in public pol. admin, and 12 hr away from doctorate in poly sci. (which I don't plan on finishing).

This was pretty cool to read through! I’m a social worker by trade- worked with high risk kids/ youth in care. However now I work for the Lottery Corp in Canada. Also have a masters in Forestry Conservation.

We started doing Ideal Protein because a friend of ours, who is also a nurse, had great success with it. And we figured if a nurse was doing it, it must be medically safe! :)

I am a published Romance Author, with about 30 books under my belt. I use a different name than the one on here, a fake one to give my husband a little separation from my steamy work. LOL. I also have 3 kids under 7 so I'm very busy with that too. We recently moved from NJ to TX.
