Hey all!

Just wondering what we all do for a living.

I work for the Federal government and manage a Northrop Grumman and IBM contract.

What about you?

I work in City government - I'm a manager in Public Works in the city where I live.

I work with special needs children in the school district as well as for the state. Also a student getting my degree in Elementary Education. Oh, and a mom of 4. :)

I'm a Business Development Manager for a Civil Engineering Firm.

I'm a clerk at the blood donor clinic - Canadian Blood Services. We supply Plasma and Platelets as well as Whole Blood to all the hospitals in the province where I live! ...and the mother of one wonderful daughter who's pursuing her dream as a professional actor!

I work in Real Estate and Property Management in snowy VT :)

I work as a speech pathologist in the public school system. Currently, I work with special needs 3- and 4-year old children.
I'm also a mom of a wonderful "tween" boy (11 years old).
And caretaker of two rescue dogs, two rabbits, and one parakeet!:D

I am a full time RN working in a 15 bed hospital in town.

I'm a nurse practitioner in a 800 bed urban trauma center...but I work in cardiac electrophysiology, not very exciting...cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and internal defibrillators!

Oh WoW! All honorable careers/jobs. Nurses, teachers, engineers, stay at home moms, realtor, clerk for blood/plasma donors. Very cool!:)

I'm a Labor and Delivery nurse, and I love my job! I also have 2 children, 19 yo daughter and 15 yo son... And a husband! All have been super supportive of me, and I now have my daughter on a phase one boot camp, which makes it easier for me!

I work for Transamerica Life Insurance. I am in the premium and collections department which means anything to do with payments, money, bank drafts etc I deal with.

Hoping by summer to have a different job, hoping part time so I can be home part time with my kids!

that's so cool! I have my MPA and want to work in local or state gov't but finding a job there is tough!

I'm a research coordinator- the study I'm working on involves cancer patient treatment decisions. I like it but I'm still figuring out what I want to do when I "grow up." :)

I'm a kitchen and bathroom designer, but also design any room that involves cabinetry, like living rooms (built in bookcases, entertainment centers), home offices, etc. I used to be a nurse and still have my license, but after my kids were off to school, I wanted to try something fun so I went back to school!

I am now retired, but was a Research Chemist ( analytical chemistry) for 20 yrs and then was sent back for Business Degree and was Operations Mgr for Cleanrooms and biomaterials.
Now I play, I love quilt and paint and I do volunteer work :)

I am a 4th grade teacher. I spend all day with 29 nine and ten year olds. I have my BA in political science and my masters in education (social sciences). I have been teaching for 8 years now.

I am also a military wife and mom to my 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Stepmom to a 15 year old teenage girl (who lives with us full time- hardest job of my life).

I am an analyst for a premier federal law enforcement agency (one of the 3 letter agencies). Love it and love serving my country!

I have a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering. I work for a Defense contractor doing software & simulation work primarily on radar systems. Mommy to a 2.5 year old, plan on TTC #2 soon!

I retired from our local school system in 2009 after 32 years of teaching high school vocational business courses and working as a supervisor of teachers. I LOVED my job but I LOVE retirement!!

I am a Campus Director at a Community College.

I'm an LPN, working and currently going back to school to finish my RN.

Pre-K teacher for the last 8 years and K teacher 4 before that. Starting the program next week after my consultation on Tuesday! :carrot:

I am the co-director of a music school providing private music lessons, musical theater programs, rock band programs and pre-k mommy and me classes. :)

I'm also taking some prerequisites getting ready to go into a nursing program next year!

I'm a Newborn ICU nurse. Love my job!! I get paid to help save, and play with babies!

I am an accountant working for the federal government (Canada) :) and have 3 great children!!

I'm an IT/Telecommunications Program Manager for a large organization (B.S. in Biology; M.S. in Public Policy ... go figure! :lol:).

I'm currently a SAHM. Prior to children, I worked as a Software Engineer at Motorola on their cellular infrastructure equipment. Who knows what the future holds when the kids get into school.

I am a Nursing Professor at a local University. During the summer I am a SAHM (love my job!!!). I have 2 children, 5 yo daughter and 8 year old son and we quickly become beach bums.

I'm the National Coordinator of Official Languages for my Agency, which is part of the Canadian federal government. Did you know that Canada has 2 official languages, which are protected by law? French and English.

I have an M.B.A. and manage at a university. I am applying for my doctorate now in higher education to start fall 2014. I just need to narrow down a research topic.

I am a headhunter. I own and run a small search firm that focuses on recruiting marketing people mostly for software and internet related companies. I've been doing it for almost 20 years now and love helping people find their dream job. :)

I am also an RN (so many of us!). I left the clinical setting ~10 years ago for pharma/biotech and am a Pharmacovigilance Scientist working with MS products. Basically, assessing safety data and determining if the benefit/risk balance of our products remains favorable.

I am a SAHM but my kid is getting older so I should probably go back to work. Scary thought after being out of the job market for 8yrs. Before that, I guess I was a jack of all trades, master of none. I've had many different professional jobs...for fed. congress, state leg., public univer., I have undergrad degrees in international business and foreign lang., masters in public pol. admin, and 12 hr away from doctorate in poly sci. (which I don't plan on finishing).

I'm an ex-human resources and general administration manager. Worked overseas in Bosnia under contract for the UN for a few years. Currently I'm semi-retired, and work from home coordinating community awareness campaigns for a variety of Canadian charities.

This was pretty cool to read through! I’m a social worker by trade- worked with high risk kids/ youth in care. However now I work for the Lottery Corp in Canada. Also have a masters in Forestry Conservation.

We started doing Ideal Protein because a friend of ours, who is also a nurse, had great success with it. And we figured if a nurse was doing it, it must be medically safe! :)

I am a published Romance Author, with about 30 books under my belt. I use a different name than the one on here, a fake one to give my husband a little separation from my steamy work. LOL. I also have 3 kids under 7 so I'm very busy with that too. We recently moved from NJ to TX.
