I am so sorry you are having this problem.
This is the main reason I went on IP. I will likely have to get a knee replacement in the future. My doctor had wanted to send me to a specialist 3 years ago and I told him to wait to see if I could get some more weight off.
At that point I was down to 171 from 204 at just over 5 feet
. He sent me for a scan this spring when I got to 130 and he said there had been no further deterioration since 3 years ago and he would just keep monitoring it.
My mom had a knee replacement at age 75 and now at age 89 she is annoyed they didn't do both knees back then. She is a very tiny lady and she sailed through the recovery.
You are doing the best thing possible for yourself. We do lose weight on IP and we do it without exercise. So tough as it is everyday it will pay off in your eventual recovery.

. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way occasionally! I've eaten more vegetables in the last six week that I had in the entire previous five years combined, and I think if I have to walk into the supermarket produce department again I may just have spontaneous onset of Tourette's Syndrome
