Had a question on Hellmans Mayo. I noticed it does not have any carbs would this be alright to use in the IP diet plan?

Thanks
Ray

Anything extra must be zero carbs, zero fat, zero calories, so not permitted.

Actually the protocol sheet says 0 Carbs/0 Sugar/0 Fat (not 0 Cal)
But Helman's still has fat so no-go!

If you're looking for mayo, you can make some very tasty mayo out of IP friendly ingredients. Use olive oil as the base. I just googled around until I found a few recipes that I enjoyed. I counted the serving as my olive oil for the day.

Walden Farms also makes a 0/0/0 mayo
It tastes nothing like Hellmans but it works for me thru P1

Sorry but if you want to be on protocol then no. Hellman's mayo has tons of fat and calories in it.

I use veginase in place of mayo. I use the one made with grape seed oil and count it as my oil intake for the day because all the fat from veginase comes from the oil which we are allowed phase one. You can get it at superstore and the taste is very good, can't tell it's not traditional mayo. Hope this helps.
