Question... are there "plateaus" with this protocol? Seem to be on one right now. Not stressed because I know this diet WORKS, but no change at all. If there are plateaus, what did you do to get off it?

Some people have stalls, but those are typically when you are at the same weight for 3 weeks. I think people with a real stall do either bootcamp, or switch to phase 3 for a week or two, then back to phase 1.
I didnt have a stall but the previous 3 weeks I had much lower losses (2 lbs, 2lbs & 1 lb) than what I had averaged the first 15 weeks. I had been consistently losing between 2-4 lbs a week, then all of a sudden it just slowed down.
I just kept following protocol, and this morning I am back on track with a 3 lb loss. I was hoping for 4 lbs so I would be in the 160's, but that will have to be my reward on next Mondays weigh in. I'm in the middle of TOM, so I'm thrilled with the 3 lb loss.

Good morning!!!! Hope the scale moves soon. I noticed in your weight log that you didn't eat everything that you were supposed to in W9. If you don't eat everything then your body will stall and hold onto everything that it has. Make sure to eat everything and drink all of your water and then some! the scale will move if you stay OP. Good luck and let us know when it moves!

Yes - there will be weeks of low to no loss. Your body will adjust along the way. You may even see weeks where you have no weight loss but lose inches. You don't need to do anything about it, just keep following protocol! It's not really a true "stall" until you've seen no change for a few weeks in a row.
I've somehow made it through two whole weeks. I'm finding weekends a lot harder than weekdays. I dont have a lot of energy to get up and get things done, but all the inactivity makes me bored and want to snack. Plus I'm surrounded by all the tasty carbs in the house...Rudi's bread, Annies Mac n Cheese. Hopefully I'll get to a place soon where they dont tempt me as much.
Well as you can tell from my tracker I have been stalled for the last 3 weeks.
As well I have been really busy and away from home a lot. I have also found that I am not hungry in the evenings and actally feel sick when I do eat. I have decided to find lighter options for my evening meal in the form of soups.
Even though I have stalled, I am losing inches so I know that the plan is still working! I am trying hard not to get discouraged. Gonna stick to the plan and keep trying.
Any other ideas for light options for my evening meal?

Have you tried either splitting your protein or having your "bigger" meal at lunch instead of dinner? I seem to remember someone posting that they rearranged their meals a bit to break a stall and it worked pretty well. It's going to be hard to make a "light" meal when you have to get 8oz of protein in. But if you have your "dinner" at lunch, you can easily do a soup packet with some added veggies for dinner!
Does anyone know if you can stay on IP if your pregnant? I just found out this weekend that I am preganant and I am 3 weeks into IP.
Thanks!
Jennifer
No you cannot - the calories on IP are far too low to support your health and nutrition needs during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You need to stop immediately. Congrats on your pregnancy!
Wow! Where did the weekend go? Hope everyone had a great OP weekend. I have not been on here much lately and have missed the support, so I am making an effort to get back more often. Have a geat day!
Good Morning! Well this past weekend went great I was completely OP and plan to stay that way. I feel great and can notice my clothes fitting better already. I have my WI on Thurs so that will be the tell all. I convinced my dad to join IP with me so that reallly helps now that we have eachother as a support system.
Third day of IP. Hope my hunger starts to diminish!! I expect it will. The first 2 days were hard because I was sooooo hungry, but getting on the scale each morning and seeing a loss was a nice reward. My best strategy is just to stay really busy.
And what really motivates me is to see all of you guys, sticking to it and with lots of weight loss behind you!! It really is pretty amazing.
I think wine is going to be the hardest thing to give up over Thanksgiving. When my family gets together, they do like to drink. I like the idea of the fizzy water with lemon. Sounds very tasty and refreshing to me right now!! So, that'll be my substitution.
Good Morning all!
1st all Congrats Jenny on your pregnancy! Very exciting!!!
This W/e was a challenge and a learning experience.
I had 3 parties for my food based home party business. After the 1st, I was upset and depressed. I didn't want to cheat but it was hard to not naturally want to join in.
The host of the 2nd party put out a fab spread, it looked delicious, but I had lunch before I left and it was a little easier.
By Sunday, I was deciding if I wanted to keep the business or take a break until I was in a better place.
I had my veggies and a salad before I left and took the IP yogurt drink with me. It was so much easier than Friday!!
What I learned about myself was I was able to tell the difference between being hungry and wanting to eat.
I loved the sense of power I gained over myself and my habit of senseless eating.
As always, a work in progress.

Remember a 'stall' is 3-4 weeks of no losses, and it has happened to folks, particularly after being several months on the program. And the closer you get to goal the lower your losses will be (you are getting smaller & your RMR is getting lower), so keep that in mind as well.

Congratulations! My coach specifically talked to me about this possibility and advised in that situation in Phase 1 to immediately move to Phase 3 and phase off IP during pregnancy.
