Social Events...ahhhh!
First some good news: I am on Week 5 of IP, have lost 16lbs total....I must say this is the only diet that has helped me break my plateau!
Anyways, last weekend was my birthday and I had a little too many vodka shots and a nice big bday breakfast Sunday morning. I went RIGHT back to strict IP Monday morning and have not had any issues...still had a loss this week. Tonight, I am going out for a friends birthday to a wine bar and tomorrow I am going to a bachelorette party - ALL DAY wine tasting in Sonoma with lunch and dinner! ahhhhh! Tonight I can control myself, have 1 glass of wine or so....and avoid the delicious bruschetta but tomorrow will be so hard especially because it's an all day event. I am 100% perfect on IP, but the moment I am thrown into a social situation I start "justifying" why one piece of something is ok. I've been so great at avoiding events since I started, but life happens. Any suggestions for tomorrow? I will try my best to stick with protein/veggies and just say no to carbs PERIOD. Will a cardio intense workout Sunday morning help me stick to plan? Need some help guys! |
Exercise will not undo the damage. Get back on track next week.

No, exercise will not fix the slip ups - following the program will.
A note about alcohol (though some find it to be a touchy subject) - and only mentioned because you seem to be a multiple-drink indulger. When you drink alcohol your body burns THAT first, no matter what else is going on dietarily. So when you drink, you are taking time away from your body burning fat - even if those vodka shots might "technically" be 0/0/0, your body metabolizes the drink first and everything else after. Also, be careful drinking as alcohol does tax your liver, and this diet by its nature also taxes your liver and kidneys. In a normally healthy person one or the other isn't going to do much, but you can stress your organs doing both. |
Wow, I have been worried about drinking club soda water..... Lol
