  • You know you were REALLY fat when...

you now weigh 256 pounds and you feel thin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe how different 326 pounds feels versus 256 pounds. I think when I'm thin I may be able to leap building!! ;-)

  • I am sure you do feel so different. Congratulations!!!!
  • I think the same thing. The lowest I have been in my adult life is 178, and that was 15 years ago. I honestly can't imagine what it would feel like to be any lower. I feel so much better now, I can't wait to get there!
  • Megan33 - CONGRATS on 70lbs lost; that is so great! You should be very proud of yourself!

I think it's very normal to feel "thin" when we start and continue to lose weight. I'm sure we've all experienced losing weight and picking up some item comparable to the weight gone and feel how much heavier it seems. For example, losing 10 lbs and then you pick up a bag of sugar weighing 10lbs and feeling how different it feels w/o the extra weight. That "extra" 10lbs makes a huge difference on our body frame and what we had to carry around with us beforehand. No wonder we feel "thin" when we lose weight; even when it's just 5 lbs. What an awesome feeling! Keep it up peeps
  • you know you're really fat when.....the trucking companies want to sell you their old "WIDE LOAD" banners!!!

you know you're really fat when.....you jump in your swimming pool and the neighbors start gathering their animals 2 by 2!!!!!

That was so funny! I have often thought "I need a back up beeper" like the big trucks have.

I hear ya. I feel great at 320. It's because I felt so horrible at 470. It's embarrassing to even type that number.

so true! Ive only lost about 25 lbs and I feel thin! unbelievable
  • I m nearly the same size I was when I got married 30 years ago. (I was a 12 then, and I'm down to a 14 from a snug 20 now.) But I still weigh about 60 pounds more now than I did then. Friends and coworkers are amazed that I've lost 55 pounds and want to lose more. But they've never seen me "thin", so this looks good to them.

Keep up the good work everyone.
  • Great job! You should feel thin, and beautiful. It's a state of mind, not the scale. That said, conquering the scale too is a wonderful feeling.
  • ...when you turn on the water fountain with your stomach before you bend over to take a drink

    True story.
  • Great Job
When I lost the first few pounds I noticed that even laying in bed was more comfortable seems odd but true. Congrats on the weight loss.
