UNITED WE STAND!!!!

Rainbow,

I'm chiming in here because you ALWAYS make me smile! Heck, you "saw" me - that I came back after over a month. I do not always feel "connected" to people on 3FC...sometimes it feels like a clique & I don't belong....but you embrace & support EVERYONE! Thank you.

Shame on petty, rigid people. I was just exploring your recipe thread yesterday (I do not usually put much energy into cooking), and you inspired me! I bought coconut oil, and I want to get the carb control baking mix...
Why?! Because this is a LIFESTYLE change....and we all need to figure out how to make it sustainable!

Thanks for being here & thanks for being you!

Who do I complain to? Should I send a nasty gram?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Rainbow,

Thanks to you, I know how to make IP crab cakes and mayo, I've tried jicama w/cinnamon and stevia, rutabaga fries, and rhubarb. I have plans for many more of your recipes, both while on IP and beyond. My palate is expanding in good and healthy ways. Your posts have satiated my appetite just by looking at your beautiful pictures. I love that you show everything step by step, including what the ingredients look like in their packaging. For someone who is not a natural in the kitchen, I truly appreciate that you make cooking so clear from start to finish.

Even when I decide not to make something using certain ingredients, I very much appreciate your creativity and ingenious ideas. They have sparked a few of my own recipes and ideas and am very happy about that. I'm growing as a cook and healthy eater and that really does have a lot to do with you (and Lizrr, Samkatmom and many others who are generous with sharing recipes) There are so many more recipes that I want to try...and I often look you up on my smart phone when I am out grocery shopping asking myself, "Now what was that that Rainbow said I needed for that recipe?"

I don't know you and have never interacted with you but please know that you have truly made a difference in my life while on this IP journey which will impact me throughout all the phases and well into maintenance.

Thank you, and most importantly, YES...I really and truly do WANNA BITE!

Now, as for all of you Rainbow Warriors, one would be so blessed to have friends like you! What a wonderful way to show support for someone. So moving to witness!

Well count me in on Team Rainbow as well! I've obviously missed all the drama as I don't really know what's happened, but all I know is that Rainbowsmiles is a CRUCIAL part of this forum! I logged in this morning to look for a recipe, and rainbow is definitely my 'go to gal'.
So whatever the drama, please please know you have a LOT of fans Rainbow and we need you here!!!!!!!!!!

Just adding my love and support for Rainbowsmiles. Your uplifting spirit, ideas, support, and creativity are amazing. Keep on rockin' it GF!

I am still kinda new, but i LOVE the recipes!! Why would someone else on another diet look at our stuff anyways? :censored: Dont they have coaches? OH, probably not! I always go to my coach or here when I have questions and ask. DUH!! Why would you just do something and not ask if you were serious?

anyway, I love the recipes and love to cook so it was an awsome combo!

Bullies should go back to kindergarden where they belong...they probably came here b/c they are so strict on them in school now! As far as I am concerned they are just people who are jealous of what others have...Rainbow, you have a talent for creating good food that makes a wonderful change up from the strict routine that we now live in phase 1. Keep up the great work! I know I love you for always being there with recomendations and new ways to stop the boredom!! (I think I need spellcheck on here LOL)

Rainbow, if it wasn't for your recipes I'd go crazy!!! I'm a total foodie, so your amazing recipes help me get through tough times. Just this morning I had a horrible sweet tooth so I made the jicama with cinnamon, OMG SOOO GOOD!!!

Sometimes people on message boards can be such a&$es!! Don't let them get to you, your obviously very loved!! I downloaded your PDF onto my iPad so I can have you in my kitchen with me!

Love you and keep your delicious recipes coming!

WhoDat730 10-21-2012 07:22 PM

You know, I was just thinking...

It's so funny to me that some people were so upset that they couldn't eat her delicious recipes that they felt compelled to send hate mail!

patns 10-21-2012 11:59 PM

ok,

I feel a nastygram urge coming on!!

I cannot find jicama in Canada. So I do not think you should have the right to post those recipes all over the internet!! What are you trying to do? Stir up northern jicama jealousy riots? If I can't have it you guys who say "y'all" shouldn't have it either!

So there!

Oh wait, I have nowhere to put it anyway, my freezer is jam packed with my summer crop of rhubarb. Back as you were. Nastygram urge has passed.

Hey Pat,

I can send a northern rhubarb nasty gram.

I think mompattie and I have thrown this back and forth. I will ship cases of jicama to Canada if y'all send barrels of rhiubarb down here.

I've finally got the local grocery to stock their brand of frozen rhubarb. Still it's $3.99 a bag. Ouch! And sometimes you have to search to find the jicama here and it's not that cheap.

Wish across the border shipping was not so expensive. I'd be glad to ship you off some jicama.

Molly

rainbowsmiles 10-22-2012 09:39 AM

you guys truly are a riot and sure know how to make a girl feel loved!! :)

love you all!! thanks again for all your kind words and support!!

I've learned that you cant please ALL people none of the time. One thing I have learned is that you take from this program what you see fit. I personally havent tried all of Rainbows recipes but I darn sure love looking at the pictures. My thing is if its not for you keep it moving but putting others down is not good on any level. Rainbow keep your head up and continue to do YOU!

cyndie 10-26-2012 03:16 PM

TeamRainbow!

I can't believe someone was ugly to our Rainbowsmiles!!!!!

Rainbow, I never tried Rhubarb, Jicama and Rutabagas till I found your recipes! I can now have legal pizza, chocolate cake, cookies, donuts and fries...the list goes on and on.

I would not have made it through some of the rough spots without my rainbowsmiles warm support and wonderful recipes. This forum is about great ladies (and gents) encouraging each other, offering tips and support.

I always fall back on that old tried and true, "If you can't say something nice...don't say anything." This is not a place for criticism.

Rainbow, so many people love you and your contribution here. Don't let some trolls discourage you.:grouphug:

Yay! So glad Rainbow's back!

I swear Rainbow - if it wasn't for you I seriously would NOT have made it through phase I. I have also passed your recipes on to friends who are in the same boat and are SO happy to have a change of pace!

Plus I still haven't gotten the handle on coconut flour and need you around!!

I have found Jicama in Canada . . so it is possible. I found it at Safeway. I looked once and couldn't find it, then my hubby just saw it one day. If you can't find it ask! I think we found it with the organic/spices stuff (if that helps).

I found it in Nova Scotia at a speciality grocery store. It certainly isn't grown here like rhubarb, ha ha ha:dizzy:
