Let's Talk Extras

  • I was hoping you all could help me compile a list of the "extras" that are available and legal for PHASE 1 of IP.

all the things besides your meat, veggies and IP products
*being in moderation but okay for a meal or two a week

My list starts out so far:
    WF products
    Mrs. Dash salt free seasonings
    Land o lakes sprinkle butter
    MiO drink flavorings
    Torani Sugar free syrups
    Heinz sugar free ketchup*
Mt Olive Bread&Butter pickles made with splenda
Bragg's Amino Acids (soy sauce substitute)

can any one else help me out?
  • I use wostisher sauce.
Vegenaise with grapeseed oil instead of mayo. (You can't tell the difference)
Apple cider, malt, rice wine vinegar all with 0/0/0.
    Mustard
Jicama for salads, fries, and with cinammon and Splenda when you need something sweet (thankyou Rainbow)
  • I admit to using unsweetened almond milk now in Phase 4 on my Phase 1 days.
    40 calories/2.5g fat/1g protein/1g carb

    Oh, I also use
    Red curry paste
    Horseradish
    Liquid stevia
    1/3 cup egg whites/day
    franks buffalo sauce
    Knox unflavored gelatin
  • Franks buffalo sauce, most pickles, cocktail onions, pepperoncinis, extracts, Dijon mustard, horseradish
  • Snows Clam Juice 0/0/0 has 30MG sodium...I saute shrimp and/or scallops and pour the clam juice in the pan and let it reduce down...then pour it all over broccoli or cauliflower...(believe me I am not a HUGE fan of clams!, but it does NOT taste clammy at all!) it is very good!

I have some of that unsweetened almond milk in my cabinet. I don't drink milk on this diet, as the carbs are too high (I'm Vegetarian, so I watch the carbs, as my proteins have carbs), and I was wondering if it would be okay to use the almond milk occasionally (I'm thinking about adding the almond milk to my eggs when making scrambled eggs/omelets. Not sure how that would taste, but I'd like something instead of water; I miss the milk in my eggs. )
