Default Ketosis

Has anyone had an all protein, no carb day to kick you back into ketosis?

Nope, I just follow the protocol. Your body needs SOME carbs to function.

Ketosis doesn't work as an on/off switch there are levels to ketosis.

Regardless of what anyone on this forum tells you ketosis is not necessary for fat loss so you should not worry about it. You should worry about following the plan.

With respect the body does not need any carbohydrates to function. Protein is converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis. This is the entire methodology of any PSMF of which IP is one.

Sometimes those sticks can not show anything if you have a lot of water to release ... try them at the end of your first pee in the morning and then they are more accurate. Another tell-tale sign is bad breath.

Thank you all. I've been releasing high levels, but suddenly dropped and was staying stable in my weight (ugh!). Got a little discouraged, I guess. Again! Anyway, I knew the bad breath thing from when I was on Atkins. I thought I could push my body back into higher levels by doing all protein for a day. I'll stick to protocol. Thanks!
