Buy IP Supplements Without Coach?

  • I started IP again and used the remainder of the supplements I had the first time around with IP. I'm using food alternatives and was hoping to continue with the IP supplements. Is it possible to order the supplements without a coach? Or what supplements are you all using and where did you get them from? Thanks!
  • I order mine from http://plainprotein.com/ - they are a little cheaper than at my coach's office, and it's the actual IP products. You can probably find something comparable to the Cal-mag and the multivitamin at GNC, but I have yet to find a good substitute for the Potassium-Calcium.
  • I am just using a one-a-day women for my multivitamin and just bought cal-mag from my coach. I have enough potassium calcium to last me a bit.

Before I started IP I bookmarked this, might be some info:

  • I ordered them from plain protein also, and I use a regular women's multivitamin.

The potassium was my problem too. I've used an excellent cal-mag for years that I get from my local health supplement store, and I went back to using that. And I started using Total One for Women Aged 50+. For the potassium I've been using the Dr. Bernstein's as a replacement. Their diet is fairly similiar, so I felt I'd be safe with it. If I didn't have access to Dr. B's I'd have ordered up a stash from plainprotein.com
  • Most IP owners will let you buy there product without signing up just call around to your local centres and ask the 4 beside me do that good luck
  • I found potassium for $ 4.00!!
I found Nature Made Potassium 550mg and I talked to the
Pharmacist , showed her the IP bottle and she said just take 2 of the 550mg and you will be at the same as the IP potassium. I found them at walgrens drug store 100 tabs for $ 4.00.

scorbett1103 - look at your IP bottle, Mine is potassium bicarbonate 800 mg NOT Potassium citrate.

If you notice, I deleted my post because you're right, the K-cal supplement is bicarbonate not citrate (the potassium citrate is in the IP multivitamin) - however what I originally said regarding Potassium Gluconate stands. It is counterindicated for people with known kidney and liver issues - and a ketogenic diet like IP DOES put some extra strain on those organs. Bicarbonate is actually the broken-down version of gluconate - easier for your body to absorb and gentler on your organs.
  • I bought my IP program supplements on Amazon...two times now so stocked-up.

I use their exact same brand (Natura) and use the vitamins, potassium/cal, and their cal-mag....
I do the program but have no clinic nor coach....so searched around and found them on amazon.
    Cheers

  • Thanks everyone. I had a pharmacist look at the IP bottle label and she advised against the Potassium Gluconate (sp?) they had in store. I didn't fully understand it (to the point where I can explain it) but I understood enough to want to stick with IP potassium. I went ahead and ordered from plain protein. I only have about a weeks's worth remaining so I hope they had a fast turnaround time. Thanks again!
