Giving it the Month of September

I've decided to give IP a month to see how it goes. I've had some weight related things in August that have made me realize I have to do something. My doc is on board with my trying it, so I'll jump in first thing tomorrow.

Good for you! After your first weigh in you WILL be hooked!

I have never been able to do something so easy and have it work so quick. The first three days were the worst, my first weigh in was 9lbs. Good luck you will find alot of support here and info.

Welcome to the program. This is one of the easiest and hardest programs to be on!

It's easy because it's all laid out before you. The hard part is getting your mind around saying 'no' around old habits. You'll find tons of support on this site.

Good luck.

Good thing for you ;-) First few days are tougher but then it settles. Offering yourself health is a pretty good gift ;-)

Excellent plan! I started August 1st, and I've lost 20 lbs since then. The first few days were hard for me as I went through carb withdrawal, but now I can't believe how good I feel. It's so easy!

Good for you! I also had some health related issues, so I talked with my Doc and she made sure to get labs before I started so that we can check back and see how things improve.

If you follow the program exactly, I think you will be very happy. It's not that hard to do, either.

As everyone has said, get past the first week as it can be hard while your body goes through carb withdrawal. Once your body enters into ketosis, it gets so much better as each week goes by. I've tried just about every diet out there, and IP has been the first diet ever that I've lost this much weight and have been able to keep it off. My oncologist reccomended this program to me, so I felt very comfortable trying it. Best decision ever. Post and read often on this board, it really is a great support system.
:welcome2:

Welcome! Ditto what everyone else said. It's such a simple plan, and works so quickly. Get through that first week and enjoy the journey! The people on these boards are an amazing source of encouragement and recipes, you'll need both, lol.

It is worth the effort!
I just realized that I am the exact same weight as I was the day I was married, which is 32 years ago coming up this week.
It took 4 months for me to reach a goal I have been striving for for 32 years. I am pretty happy this morning...I may go try on my wedding dress! ::goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Welcome! And good for you, girl! You'll be so glad you made this decision, trust me. :)
