  • You guys are awesome! Thank you, thank you!

  • I found that keeping myself busy really helped. I had the first day off, but worked day 3, 4, and 5. It kept my mind off everything. I used that first day to plan everything out, especially my meals.
  • I had a bit of a headache on day 3 and didn't sleep real well for the first couple of days but other than that I couldn't believe how easy the week went! It still amazes me that I can go out for pizza(my fave)with my family and be perfectly content with salad, the cravings just aren't there anymore! IP is the best decision I have made
  • What helped me prepare was...getting really desperate. I was not able to be "me" anymore because of the weight : I could barely get off the couch, had difficulty breathing, was bursting through all my fattest of fat clothes...I didn't recognize myself in a store window reflection anymore. And yet somehow, I had avoided looking all those things full in the face. So, it really helped me to fully stare down all the things I'd been hating to tolerate in my life. Being desperate to be the real me helped spur me on to withstand the stringency of the diet. That, and understanding what it took to get and keep my body in ketosis.

Best wishes! You can do this and you are going to love the feeling of losing!
  • I was already sugar and flour free when I stated, and I lived for my coffee which I added 1% milk to. I wasn't losing but already felt deprived. Also, I really didn't believe I could drink black coffee. I've learned not to make the coffee quite so strong.
You'll find that the diet is manageable. Coffee isn't the big treat it used to be for me, but I'm losing weight which is a much better reward.
