Non restricted chocolate cookie...YUM!

OMG you guys! I have died and gone to heaven... I was craving a chocolate cookie but didn't want to use the oatmeal packet because it is restricted. So I experimented with the chocolate mug cake recipe. Instead of putting the batter in the microwave, I made 5 thin cookies and cooked them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper at 350 degrees for around 40 minutes. These were so crispy and yummy!! I can't wait to make another batch tomorrow.

Maybe this recipe already exists??? If not, enjoy!

This sounds great but I am not familiar with the chocolate mug cake. What is it?

I made these last night, but I don't think that I made them thin enough because they didn't come out crispy.

snolover, did you spread the batter out to make them thin? I just dropped a blob on the cookie sheet (like I would with regular cookies).....

iwiggy58 08-24-2012 02:41 PM

Oh No..... I must have done something wrong! I just took these out of the oven and they are totally burnt! I made 5 thin cookies like the recipe said. 350 degrees oven. Set the timer for 40 minutes. At 36 minutes I looked at them and thought they looked done. Well were they ever done!!!! I took a bite and it felt like I had bit into a charcoal brickette LOL. I did something wrong. All you others let me know how yours came out. I did think that 40 minutes for a thin cookie was long time. Usually cookies need about 12 to 15 min.

I took mine out after 25ish mins; they had a nice golden colour to them (I used the vanilla drink mix).

I just think this is hilarious! Sorry you wasted your packet, but it is funny the way our experiments turn out sometimes!
