I'm on day 1 and have about 60 lbs to go, yikes how did that happen?!

I have a 6 month old, so I'm doing this to feel better for both myself and my family!

Welcome, you two! Still pretty new here, only my second week, but I am loving it so far! Lots of great information from these ladies on 3FC, and tons of encouragement!

Aimiloo, I have 60 to lose as well (first goal is 50, but would love to lose 60, just scared to shoot for it!), and a 1 year old :-) We can do this! Won't it be great to set down those 3 huge bags of dog food (that's how I gauge my excess weight since we have a big dog) so we can keep up with our little ones!

Hello, I am also starting today! I have been putting off starting this for weeks but I am ready today. I have gained 26 pounds since last Christmas! Time to make this program work!

Welcome! We all encourage each other on this board so I think you've got at least that part down pat. Here's to losing those pounds! :)

Welcome to the pack. We are here to guide, love, encourage and scold when needed. You are not alone ever. There is always someone here who is in the same boat as yourself. Stay strong and just breath.

Seeing all of the success here is what gives me encouragement. I found a meatloaf recipe on here and made it last night to have this week. It turned out wonderful!!!

Welcome Ipeeps! I was on Ip for over 8 months with not one single cheat, but decided to take the summer off as the scale was just not moving, my body needed a break and I was doing a lot of traveling. Well today is back to phase 1 and finishing what I started. The best of luck to all of you starting today. The first week can be really challenging until you get into ketosis, but I know you all can do it.

So many mornings I wake up feeling terrible, sore and achey from picking up my son (who's a big dude at almost 20 lbs). I'm not only doing it for me, but for my family too. He's my motivator, and that makes all the difference for me to succeed!

It just shocks me. I remember when I only had 20 to lose a few years ago. I know I have baby weight still, but I only gained 25 lbs....it's not THAT much baby weight to lose!!!! :dizzy:

Dana - how was your time off from the plan?

I mean - can you share a little about how you ate? Did your weight go up?

Were you able to keep the weight you lost before - off?

Welcome!! I have a 6 month old too! He's my first, and my motivation to get healthy too!

I have lost 72lb in 5 months and am phasing off into maintenance (Phase 2, week 2/2), 3lb below goal, from size 16 to size 2 (actually squeezed into a zero...but too snug for comfort!). I have a precocious 2 year old at home i want to set a healthy example for and a broken down 38 year old body that needed less strain. This forum, advice, support, and RECIPES were my secret weapon. You can do this, stick with it. I never cheated, i stuck to 100%3 through business travel, weddings, vacations, and a lot of temptations. The more willpower you flex the stronger you get, and embrace your food, i am a foodie-love food, found that i now eat more delicious than before...why did no one ever tell me veggies were sooooooo gooooood!!!!!
