Default Do you have to purchase your food by the box?

Do you have to buy the whole box? ie 7 milk choc puddings and 7 yogurt shakes etc? or can you mix and match.

We get an empty box and then choose 7 assorted breakfasts and lunches. Is it the same everywhere?

This is my first week and I got a varity of what they picked out. When I go tomorrow, I will pick my foods for the week, but I think it will be just the 7 omelet, 7 choc drink, etc. It would be cool to just pick and choose and fill a box.

My clinic has started requiring by the box ... I soooo miss the mix 'n match way .... more variety for sure!! Now the only way to get the same variety is to buy more boxes :O(((

I guess that's why I am loving the recipes here ... as my purse strings are rather short!!

The ONLY good thing is if I buy a box and don't really like it, I can exchange when I go back.

I have to buy everything by the box - but there is a 'swap basket' that you can go through and exchange if you see anything you like. My coach has also given me a few sample packet 'gratis' if there's something I am interested in that she hasn't tried before (like the Peach Mango drink mix - I did not enjoy it or feel guilty chucking it down the sink). She also has a small bowl of sample restricteds for folks to try she changes out - soy puffs, crispy squares, bars, etc - all cut up into sample size bites to see if you like before getting a box.

At my clinic we have to buy a whole box. I think this is a horrible policy and other people I know , say the same thing. The Clinic said that is how they make their money, if you want a variety, you need to buy more boxes. At $35.00 a box, I would like to know if it tastes good before I buy it, since they do not allow returns. I think they would keep people on program and have happy successful customers if they let you pick 7 packets to equal one box. This is one more reason why I am no longer going to purchase IP foods. I will be on all alternatives as soon as I finish my IP products.

$35/box! I pay $28/box - you can get $27/box or $4/packet at The Protein Store (free & fast US shipping) - shopforprotein.com (when they aren't going through technical difficulties that is!)....

It is the FDA that doesn't allow the packets to be sold individually. They don't have the required nutritional information on the individual packets. I did hear rumors that IP was working on something corporate wide, but no idea of a timeline. My clinic gives us all the labels in the start-up pack so they are covered.

I guess I am really lucky because in Kelowna BC I am allowed to choose individual packets and exchange them if I don't like them. Also my coach gave me a TON of little samples for the WF products! I really think that is how it should be. This is a very expensive diet to begin with and I think people would stick with the diet if they had more variety.

Thank goodness at our clinic we can purchase each packet for $4 - if we don't like something they gladly exchange it for something else.

We also choose individual packets. I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't. I like making my meal plan out for the week and then going shopping!

I get a blank menu each week from my coach. I fill out my choices for each meal bring it to my WI and pick up the mixed variety of packets. The cost for me is $30.00 for 7 packets...which I gladly pay to have the variety in my food.

We mix and match at my clinic, buying 21 packets each time with 7 for breakfast, lunch and snack. Sometimes I buy an extra box of something I really like. Then I have a little more room for variety at home. $27-28 per box.

BTW - the Protein Store website is usually back up at night, but being worked on during the day. Keep trying. She gives great service!
