Default Phase 1 Change to 100% weight loss?

My coach says now Phase 1 will be 100% weight loss? I don't want to be on Phase 1 for so long, I was planning on losing til 125 to start phasing off.. and losing the last 5 pounds through phase 2&3? is that possible? my coach said you do phase 2 until you gain 5 pounds of water weight and then go to phase 3..

A lot of coaches like to have you do p1 until you are below your goal weight because in phase 3 and 4 you can gain up to 5lbs with glycogen stores. This isn't fat! But it will make the scale go up. It doesnt happen to everyone but it's common. However, you can still lose in phase 2.

From what I have gathered, you will not lose weight in phase 3 or 4. Those phases keep you stable at your weight

When I started I was told P1 is till you meet your goal, then you start 2.

Actually you can potentially lose in both phases it depends on how your body reacts....

The 'old' IP way is 90% off and then phase off...but most people are 100% now so that they have the cushion of the 5 lbs in case their body complains about items they start consuming in Phase 4.

Hi, I continued to lose BUT wish I stayed on P1 for one more week...that would have given me more "wiggle" room for maintenance. You can still lose (and I did) in the rest of the phases...You can even learn to lose in maintenance very easily...Do what you can do...for me I was so done with P1 that I stopped before I really knew I should have but I maintaining just fine!!!
