Apparently there's something in it that attaches itself to cells and the body has a hard time expelling it. I can't remember if it had an impact on weight loss, but it was definitely something she'd rather I not consume from a metabolic standpoint. So she told me she'd rather have me use a bit more milk than the 1oz instead of the sweetener.

Just thought I'd put that out there! I'm sure the impact of using it once in a while is different from how I would have been using it - daily!! :)

She was looking for partially hydrogenated fats or trans fats -- and she's right, they're genuinely terrible for you. It was best described to me this way: "trans fats are what manufacturers use to keep perishable foods from spoiling or making them "shelf stable" -- they add hydrogen to a natural fat. Unfortunately, the hydrogen changes the chemical composition of the fat so it can't be processed and eliminated by humans. The result is that you're essentially turning your blood to sludge"

What a great idea!!! I can't wait to see my coach and pick some up :)

I haven't figured it the quoting yet, but it was mentioned that the reason that soda is bad is because of the carbon dioxide. My coach said seltzer is ok, it has co2 as well, What did your coaches say? should I avoid?

When i was trying to figure out a few weeks of low loss, my coach told me that seltzer can cause an acidic balance in your body, same as mentioned here earlier. I do not understand why soda would do this but not seltzer as someone else implied. Decided to go off it but I miss it terribly. He also told me it's "best" to stay away from anything with a "lose" in it which includes the Mio. I know many here use it. I only have a few more weeks so thought it best to just give it up. If I had months, I would look into it more thouroughly.
