Easter Food
okay, easter is only a week away and i'm stressing about what I am going to eat for dinner. We usually have ham, macaroni salad, chips, all that stuff and i'm really nervous about it. Any recipes out there that would be good for easter?

I don't know if this helps, I just saw this thread from the main page, but I'm making a huge layered salad for Easter as my contribution (lettuce/spinach mix, tomatoes, fresh peas, eggs, cheese, repeat, and top with a pile of boiled shrimp). I'll probably do some tomato/basil/mozz kebabs with balsamic and some fruit kebabs for after. There will be tons of other things, but my stuff will be pretty! I love a good salad, caprese (sp???) salad is one of my favorite things so I think it will be fantastic on a stick, and there's a lot of good fruit in season.
I don't know that any of these things fit in with IP but they beat the heck out of chips and mac salad! Two people in my family have birthdays coming up right after Easter so I'm making that Kit Kat and M&M cake that's been making the rounds on Pinterest for them - that thing is super cute but nothing about it makes me want to dig in so I'm hoping that will cover the sweets. It just does not appeal but it satisfies my need to BAKE something cute. |

My coach just told me today that you can make "potato" salad using turnips, although she said it's best to eat it right away because if you put it in the fridge the turnip taste really starts to come out. A veggie tray is easy enough, and you can use WF ranch for dipping sauce. You can make turnip, kale or zucchini chips and they're tasty enough that the whole family will probably like them and not miss having potato chips. |

There are lots of options that could be healthy and delicious! |
I'm planning on bringing veggies and dip - all veggies I love, just won't eat the dip. You could use some of your own dip/dressing for yourself. A nice fresh spinach salad with a vinaigrette dressing would be good too.

We found a sugar free ham that we'll be having as our protein so that seems at least a wee bit Easter like!
|
Where did you find your sugar free ham?
Is it fat free as well? |
Grilled salmon and asparagus, IP lemon pudding for snack/dessert later!!!
Make your table beautiful, drink your beverage of choice from a wine glass, enjoy the people around you and have a blessed Easter! |
