I was just noticing earlier today that one of the posters here posted about how her clinic Dr really stressed that we have a much greater likelihood of maintaining successfully if we don't cheat during Phase 1. I've copied the post from LSJ100 where she refers to this:
"When I went to my introductory IP meeting the doctor emphasized at least 10 times that this diet will work for you and you will be able to successfully maintain your weight AS LONG AS YOU DON'T CHEAT ON PHASE I. Scared the crap out of me! He said 70% of dieters maintain after two years, and every one in the 30% that didn't cheated during phase 1."

I hadn't seen this before and it's definitely given me renewed motivation to not cheat for the rest of the time on on the program. I haven't eaten anything 'off program' but I've permitted myself an extra IP-alternative packet on occasion. Knowing what LSJ100 had pointed out is giving me an even stronger resolve to stay 100%. I want every advantage when I hit my goal weight of being able to maintain!!
