Can you split up protein between meals?

  • 5-7 oz of protein is a lot for me to eat at one meal. Is it possible to spread it out over two meals?

    And the revised sheet has 8 oz of protein (regardless of the type).
  • My coach says no, but she's very strict and by the book. (Very literal) I was having a hard time too but it does get easier.
  • My coach also says no. Because I think in phase 2 is when you start having protein with the noon meal.
  • My coach recommend that I split it up if 8oz was too much at one time (and it is 8oz. on the new protocol sheet). Most days I have about 3oz at lunch and the remaining 5 oz. at dinner.
