Good Morning everyone, Well I seem to be staying OP this week
I have my WI on Monday, I will see how well I did this week. Really trying hard to stay off the scale. My coach said to take the batteries out of them. Today me and a couple of ladies from my church is taking a road trip, looking for a good retreat center here in Florida, close to us, But affordable for the ladies who are on those fixed incomes. I hope everyone has a good day.
good morning everyone I just have to share my excitement - I'm down another 4.5 lbs this morning . I can't believe how easy this program is to follow and there's no real calculating/counting/thinking about food to be done.....6 weeks in and down 21.1 lbs, this is previously unheard of for me.

Good job staying OP! I too am trying not to weigh myself at home- I find it Funny how everyone looks forward to stepping on the scale for WI- that's proof this diet must work.... I've never said those words before but I actually can't wait for my first WI- it's only day 4 and I know I've lost weight. Have a fun road trip today!! We have absolutely nothing planned for today- usually our weekends are booked/ planed/ scheduled but not today I'm sure by noon my kids will have something up their sleeve to do but until then I'm planning pj day!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! I am excited about being able to go out to dinner tonight and actually get some kind of sauce for my fish It's the little things!! We're also going to the movies, I can't remember the last movie I saw in theaters (well, aside from Winnie the Pooh and Beauty and the Beast) so it should be exciting!

Here's to another 100% OP weekend
Wow- that's amazing!! I am only day 4 but I agree it is easy! My husband is day 3 & even he said "this is no problem- I can do this!". It is fabulous to hear at week 6 you still feel the same way- I am hesitant to get to excited that this will be my "last diet" as they say because I just started- my focus right now is learning and staying OP. Thanks for sharing b/c hearing success like yours makes me wonder what Ill be celebrating in week six!!!!

Wow... Going to an adult movie... In my world that is a NSV The last movie I've been to... Smurfs (actually pretty cute and a familiar memory from my childhood!!) enjoy your evening!

AWESOME, I am so excited for you. I agree the program is pretty easy to follow. My coach saids I'm in the ZONE. I live for veggies (LOL) Thats at least what I keep telling myself. Any how good luck and congrats on another 4.5lbs down.
Hey everyone, just checking in for a little bit.
I'm working the last of my work hours for a while, but I just wanted to stop by with a question.
Does anyone on IP deal with Fibromyalgia? I'm pretty sure this is what is wrong with me, but I haven't been to a doctor because it's not currently covered through my insurance. But anyway.
I thought the more that I lost weight, the better I would feel with this [which I've read is true for some people] but for the past 3 days I've felt the worst effects from it ever, I swear. It used to be sometimes I would wake up with the "feeling" [if you have Fibro, you get what i'm saying] in certain areas, but the last few days I've just woke up with the feeling everywhere.
I'm so tired, weak and I just literally feel like crap. I just want to feel better. Grrrrr. I can't sit because it hurts, I can't lay down because it hurts. I can't drive or do anything really without it hurting. :| Sorry for the "rant".
Please go the dr. Since you are feeling worse rather than better, I tank you should explore food sensitivities or allergies. You might have problems with soy. I recently went off wheat, and the difference is amazing. I'm currently limiting my dairy to see of there are additional benefits. I didn't even have specific symptoms, but I feel so much better wheat-free that it's weird. I don't feel sluggish or tired at all during the day. My head is completely clear, I can think better, focus more... (I'm not ADD or anything).
Don't tell your doctor what you think it is. Just focus on symptoms and let him/her help. And don't worry about insurance until you know what's wrong.
WooHoo!! Major NSV this morning. I had a whole 1/2 closet full of warmer sweaters and long sleeved things in my daughters room. Every now and then I would wander in there to see if I could find something, but since most of the shirts are mediums never came up with anything. Since it's FL though I haven't been in there since probably last winter. This morning though it's cold outside and I wanted something warmer so I went in there and FIT into one of my favorite older sweaters. Bonus, I have it in 3 colors since it's so comfy so I just added 3 shirts to my wardrobe SO SO SO excited!!
Oh, and I hope I'm not the only one, but I've recently been embarrassed about how tight my clothes must have been before I started losing weight. Last night I put on a nightgown (size L I believe) and it was comfortable, flattering, and I could move in it. Sad thing is I wore it when I weighed 210lbs and I remember it being uncomfortable and not being able to move hardly. My poor husband and kids who had to see that!! I've also thought the same thing about other pieces of clothing when I realize how comfortable they are once they actually start to fit and you're not smooshing yourself into them.

Yeah, I'm excited, and it's a girls night so we're going to see a total chick flick that my husband would hate! Should be a fun evening!

That's my favorite thing about IP as well. It's just SO darn easy! With any other diet I was on (WW, calorie counting, curves) I would spend all kinds of time at the computer making out my meal plans, and then decide mid day I was going to do something else, or wanted to eat something else and spend another huge chunk of time re-figuring everything in my day. Took forever! There is no grey area on IP you're either OP or you're not.
This is such a wonderful blog, and so helpful to share experiences with others who are following Ideal Protein.
I've just started my third week on Ideal Protein. The pounds are melting away, much more quickly than I ever imagined. I feel better than I've felt in years. I was reluctant to believe that I would feel so much better in such a short time, but it's absolutely true :-)
My first two weigh-ins were very successful.
Week One: Down 10 pounds and 8.5 inches
Week Two: Down 6 pounds and 4.5 inches
I've been able to stay OP 100%. It takes a little more planning, but it works!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Today I leave on my cruise where I will be 100% as always OP. I'm having way too much fun loosing weight to even think about going off. I am switching to phase 2 for the week, but still hoping to come home having lost weight. Have a great week everyone and see y'all next weekend.
