Unhappy Trying again and having a hard time

Oh my goodness.... I started IP Sept 2011 to lose some weight for a upcoming trip to Hawaii... well, I went to Hawaii and totally fell off the wagon and went on a sugar binge, a 2 1/2 month one and gained apx 17 pounds back ( not real sure how much because when I went back OP I was up 17 and now, 3 days later I am down 10 so im assuming I was holding onto a lot of water weight) anyway, im not craving sweets as much as I am the little samples of tillamook cheddar. I guess no better place to admit it than here... I had two today I just feel like I cannot follow through. I was so good the first time I did it. I had some rough days the first time I did it but NOTHING like this 2nd go at it... anyway, that's what im going through. Im hoping that now that im past my 3 days of no carbs (well, limited carbs) it will get easier again. hope everybody had a great weekend

There is a very friendly thread here called : Hard Time Restarting. You would get lots of support there.
It is hard to give up things you love like Tillamook cheese.
The more carbs you give up and the more you stay away from sugar, the better you will feel.
The best thing about IP is that it does work.
Good for you starting again and working on staying healthy. You can do it.

If you have having trouble sticking to the IP protocol, why not do Atkins which will allow you to have the cheese? It is still a ketogenic, low-carb diet and the weightloss will be a bit slower (based on my experience), but you may not feel deprived and can stick with it.

And then when you are ready to be on IP, you will have a headstart since you will already be in ketosis and can just phase out the cheese, etc.
