Vegas is so much fun. It's like Disney for grown ups. The key thing is good walking shoes. You will walk a lot along the strip. And you can wear whatever you want. I have never seen one place with so many people wearing all different types of outfits. Some are dressy and formal. Most are casual. Some are wild. Have fun.

Default Weigh In #13

Good Morning IPeeps:

Happy Valentines Day to everyone!

Miranda: I am sorry to hear about your job. Chin up and stay strong, things will work out. Make good use of the time that you have, maybe clean out a closet, go thru and find things that you don't use and have a yard sale or take them to a flea market. (ooops, just finished up reading the last pages of yesterdays thread and see that you said the same thing )

Well, I weighed in this morning.....and I'm down another....................... 4 pounds................. for a total of 42 pounds gone FOREVER!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

For the newbies, don't get discouraged on this plan. Yes it is restricted, yes it can get mundane and blah...there will be times that you just want to give up and gourge on anything and everything, there will be times that you may sit and think that just a little of this will not hurt anything. But do not give into the temptations, and do not give up, it truely works and you will feel so much better about yourself. Your losses may not be what you think they should be because you know that you were 100% OP the entire week and you only lost .1, .2, .3 etc......a loss is a loss and it is a good thing, it means that you are carrying that much less weight on you than you were the previous week. Your body is confused and adjusting to everything, when the time is right it will let go of more weight. Just stick with it......it can and will be done!!!!! Search the receipe threads, there are alot of wonderful reciepe's there. Just think of your outcome once you have succeeded. A thinner, healthier, more beautiful/handsome NEW YOU!!!!!!!! I think it is worth the sacrifice for a little while, don't you?

Congratulations on all the losses this week and good luck to those who still have to weigh in.

Thanks for the encouragement.....sometimes when you guys have such big losses it's hard for us newbies not to get so discouraged. You rock!
Congrats on your losses!

Well said Rissimo!

I actually had no loss last week, in pounds or inches, but I know from being on this plan that your body needs to catch up at some point. The first month I had really good losses both in inches and lbs. I know that I'm 100% OP and knowing that, I should continue to lose, regardless of the number of the scale or tape measure.

The trick is find what you like and stick to it. Visit the recipe thread for different ideas if you're a person that needs variety. Don't be scared to try new things AND don't be scared to ask questions. There's a weath of knowledge on this board and someone is always here to provide encouragement and help!

Happy Valentines Day! Here's to hoping you have a box of broccoli instead of chocolate!

Today will be a good day for this reason: I get to streak Staph aureus and E. coli around on a plate. Then I can come home and sleep!!

A muy bueno friend of mine is getting married on April 14th, and I'm hoping that by then I'll be a size or two smaller. I wanna wear a pretty dress, since I never went to prom! I can't wait to see what the next couple months will bring IP-wise. So excited!!!!

Great words of encouragement to wake up to! I was doing so well on the plan until last night. I didn't go off plan, but it was almost drudgery to fix my evening meal. I simply had been so busy and gotten too tired. I know getting too tired is one sure way to mess up a program, but it happened. I stayed OP, but it was not pleasant, so to speak! Tired also makes me tend to fall back to old cravings and "easy" comfort food wants. Really have to watch this, but it happened and I could feel the struggle.

Slept through the night though! Today is a new day! Great to wake up to words of encouragement.

If you find yourself craving something or wanting to stray, have an IP treat...pudding, bar, choc puffs...something. It's better to cheat with IP products than something non-IP. I typically get my cravings the week before TOM and find there are about two days where I need 4 packets instead of three, just because my cravings take over. The actual week of TOM, I'm back to normal again.

I think that is the greatest NSV of all, when our loved ones support us in what they may think are little ways, like not bringing home chocolates.

I love sweets, eating them, baking them you name it! After I started IP when I would have a craving for something sweet I would get out my WF chocolate syrup or caramel dip and just have a spoonful. Sometimes I even dip my celery in the caramel dip. There are ways around the cravings, you just have to find what works for you.

Good morning all! Happy Valentine's Day! I love the quote someone made earlier that self love is the best kind of love.....so true! Today we should celebrate the love we have for ourselves and the gift we are giving ourselves by being on IP. I have my chocolate soy balls to take to work since I know there are going to be a lot of treats around.
