I have had a restricted nearly every day and don't feel it's hindered my weight loss. I typically had it before bedtime or sometimes an afternoon snack depending on how hundry I am and TOM. Reading some of these posts, I may switch it to my morning meal.

I ate only 2 or so restricted items this week and only lost 1.8 lbs...think I will try one restricted a day and see what next week brings : )

So i was thinking about adding in my own, possibly Pure Protein Bars, but they have approximately 18 to 20 grams of Carbs. Are these ok??? Thanks, its is getting hard to stick to some days!!

I have found another bar called the simply bar with similar carb/protein/calories but no sugar alcohols. They don't taste as good though! |
I think I'm confused. I've loved the bars and have them at night. Have tried to limit restricted to 3-4/week.
I like the idea of having it in the morning if it helps supply some energy, but then I read the post about Dr. Tran saying you should have them at night. Have also read that just changing things around can fool the body into losing a few more pounds. My coaches have been pretty good, though they do have different ideas and are not nutrionists. I learn alot on the forums and just plain googling. |

ya Sara, at first i thought it was that we could ONLY have one per day too, then my coach said something one time about HAVING to eat on restricted per day..... i'm confused as well !! but honestly I'm losing plenty fast, without eating many restricted so, I don't know... I kinda keep those for when I'm stressing and need more filling stuff !?

Basically there aren't enough carbs it in at all to be stored into fat, so timing has nothing at all to do with it. So if you like it in the morning or before bed, what works for you just works!! Someone earlier mentioned the potential for starvation mode and it's totally true! This is a low carb program, not no carb! Our bodies do need carbs to function, and a restricted daily is a key part in getting those carbs in. I have a friend that every once in a while does a 'boot camp' where she doesn't have restricteds for a week to help kick loss back into gear. But then she's back on them again, and she's had great losses. |
