Cappuccino Drink Mix

  • I wanted to add it to morning coffee, but it's so cold. Has anyone tried heating drink up a bit before adding it? I've heard some of these packets aren't made for heating and I wanted to be sure...

    Thanks, Pam
  • When I have the cappuccino I always heat it in my microwave for one minute. I think it is supposed to be heated...not sure because I don't have it that often. But when I do it is heated.
  • I agree with rbtemplet, I think it was made to be added to hot water.. check the packaging... I was having it as a hot drink at first but thought it tasted soapy so switch to having it as an ice cap... you should be fine with it heated.

Here is what the website says:
    Cappuccino Drink
A rich and frothy drink. Savour the aroma. Can be served warm or cold

Pour 200 ml of very cold water into a shaker, add contents of one packet and shake vigorously until mixture is smooth. Heat in microwave for 1 to 2 minutes or over medium heat. Do not overheat.
  • I have always heated mine in the microwave. I have it plain or mixed with coffee. I went and bought myself a huge coffee mug like you used to see on Friends just so that I can have it with coffee.
  • Thank you for the info and suggestions!
  • I have a big plastic cup (one of the Tervis Tumblers) and I brew 1 cup of coffee in there and add my mixed cap to it. It's warm enough for me and tastes wonderful!
  • Packet says 7oz of water, packet and shake. Nuke for 1-2 minutes.

If you use the shaker make sure you remove the ball first. (not in packet)
  • Why remove the ball?
  • Quote: Why remove the ball?
Can't heat the ball in the microwave.....lol
  • duh...haha...
  • I had the cappuccino drink this morning, added a bit of extra water and a 1/2 tsp instant coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but this was really good. I'm only on day 4 and haven't had much luck with liking any of the packets other than this now and the jello. And unfortunately found out from my coach this Am that the jello isn't a full protein.....
