  • on program, I finally tried the Big Mac in a bowl and it was good!

my WF order just came in or else I would tried it sooner.... thanks to who ever came up with the recipe!

  • That's one of the recipes I'm most excited to try! Did you use beef or ground turkey?
  • I have a whole bottle of WF 1000 island and I haven't had that in months. I should! Thanks for reminding me.
  • I LOVE the Big Mac Bowl, I think Jordana came up with that one. My hubby even likes it. Next time I make it I will be using angel hair cabbage instead of lettuce---or maybe along with lettuce.

I used extra lean ground beef as I was making spaghetti for my family anyways... I also used spinach instead of lettuce. I forgot to put in onions so next time it will be even better I hope!
  • I can't wait to try this! I'm hoping I can place my WF order today... I used to love Big Macs...

Hi. Only on day 4 and have struggled with almost every IP package I have tried. Have no problem with water but have no appetite even for salad. Will try some ideas here. Thanks.

Yes! It is Phase 1 friendly! Here's the recipe (someone else posted, I take no credit!):

    Big Mac in a Bowl
    • 1/2 pound raw ground beef, about 5 1/2 ounces cooked weight or 153 grams cooked *
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 teaspoon minced dry onions
    • 46 grams dill pickle slices or 2 dill spears, chopped, about 1 5/8 ounces
    • 2 tablespoons Walden Farms Thousand Island Dressing
    • 1 1/2 ounces iceberg lettuce, shredded
Brown the ground beef, drain off any fat, season with salt and pepper.. Meanwhile, soak the dry onions in a little water to rehydrate them. Put the meat in a large salad bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Toss and eat at once.

I haven't tried it yet, but am looking forward to it. Will prolly use fresh onions though.
  • I too will be giving this Big Mac in Bowl a try!!!
