Looking for 18P black and grey dress pants.

I thought I would bump this up with all the clothing talk today!

I am only on day 6 and will be starting a new job on the 22nd and I know I will be needing a lot of clothing help in the upcoming months. Not sure if anyone would be interested in this thread? Seems like a great way to help each other out!

Thanks :)

Great idea!

I still have a lot of pants/capris and a few shorts in sizes 14P, 12P and a few 10P. Most pants are Lee Riders Brand (with flat fronts, wide or straight leg and comfort waist). Capris and shorts have forgiving waists. Glad to give for free if you pay for shipping. I have pics of most i can send. PM me...first come first serve.

Hi,

I live in Canada too and I hope we will have many people joining in for us to open a new thread for us Canadians, who's in?

Hope to get some replies.

I will have some nice GAP size 16 dress pants (4 pair), a black dress, and some jeans in a few weeks. I will post pics (if I can figure out how to!) as soon as I shrink out of them!

These sound great! I wonder how much the "P" really matters? I am just a little taller.

I have no other clothes other than what I have now for work - just a few black 22W pants, a few jackets and tops. I haven't worked for a few years - first caring for a parent and then my DH. I will be returning to work on 9/22. So I am starting from scratch!

Thanks!

The Lee Riders Brand are pretty consistent...if you go in a store (they carry them at anywhere from Walmart to Kohl's), you could see if the Petites might work. Petite inseams usually run about 2 inches shorter than averages. I am almost NOT petite height, but I have a long torso and shorts legs (yay...). So not only do I need petite pants but I have to get LONG torso bathing suits....(double yay...).

Here's an idea gals: In Canada we can do email money transfers from our online banking sites to anyone who gives us an email address. Generally there is a minimum of $10.00 and it only costs the sender $1.00 to do (some may have accounts where it is free).

Don't know if you can do this in the US? The information is only an email address and no other account information is exchanged since it goes through the banking sites. You can set up a password for the recipient to accept the transfer so that no one else who has access to the email can receive it. But you both have to be doing online banking - the banks do not have to be the same 'brand' though. The sender just needs to find out from their post office how much shipping would cost to _____ for the package size/weight, then let the sender know - email money sent, package sent. I do that with my Avon Customers all the time.

Excellent!! We do have that here, I've seen it through my bank (JPChaseMorgan) but I never paid attention to how it works. Thank you!

Glad this thread got bumped. Not long ago I posted that I wanted to rehome a pair of a Champion workout shorts (at my own expense!) but it was deleted. Still not sure why as I had found other threads regarding clothes. I included a link to website but provided name of store just in case the link itself was deleted. :(

I went through A LOT of my work clothes, jeans, shorts and tops a few weeks ago including some new with tags. Because it appeared I would not be able to use this forum to help out others, I gave all of those that fit to a visiting friend. However, there are still some leftovers. I will go through the pile and let folks know what's available, hopefully this weekend.

PayPal is an option (at least in the U.S.) for those with accounts. Simple and secure.

You need a PayPal account to receive funds though, right? And can someone use PayPal to send you funds off their credit card? I know we can do that with eBay, but not sure if that's possible at a personal level. I gave up on PayPal over 10 years ago since they could not understand that I can have a USD account in a Canadian bank. I never could set an account up except in CAD, so it was just a useless venture for me. I also have a Euro account in my Canadian bank. Useful when the exchange rates are favourable, to stock the accounts for trips in the future.
