Anyone have a good trick to get the pills all the way down? I've never had this much trouble taking vitamins. If one did get caught, I'd just grab a pinch of bread ...
Do these pills have a different coating?
Especially having probs getting the bedtime one down. I start w/ lots of water, get it nice and wet - but it sticks every night!! I was up for 40 mins last night trying to get the thing to move - freaked me out and then I couldn't sleep well.
Don't know if this will work in your case but I find that pills that are just too large can be split, you can get a pill splitter at the drug store. Two smaller ones are easier to swallow than one larger one.

I have the same problem and it's scary as h--l. You can try cutting them in half but I just found that they stuck AND the sharp edges cut my throat. I've been able to find really good quality, pharmacy-dispensed tablets here that dissolve and effervesce in water. You'd think with all the German pharmaceutical companies they'd dispense in the US. Anyway, just on the odd chance you can get something similar from a good natural food store, here are the URLs. www.stade.de and www.omnivit-info.de. I know you can get liquids but they are very expensive. Good luck.
When they are split in two they are only half as big and easier to swallow, I have to do this with one pill that I literally cannot swallow it sticks in my throat but by splitting it I can do it.
I had a few times where I felt like they were stuck in my throat as well. I think the better hydrated I am the easier they are to swallow. I used to have a hard time taking pills, but in the past couple of weeks I've noticed I can down 2-3 at a time without much problem. I'd suggest making sure you are standing anytime you take the pills too. Good luck working through it, not fun.
I have a terrible time with pill swallowing, but I find it's easier if I take them with food than with a beverage. So, I take them with meals and when I eat a mouthful of food, I chew until I'm ready to swallow then add one of my difficult pills (like calcium or glucosamine) before swallowing.
It's very weird to me, cuz I've never had this problem and I've used vitamin supplements all my life. I am used to Source of Life multis that are twice as big as the Cal/Mag.
I did start taking Multi and Cal/Mag before I eat so the food can help it down.
It's the bedtime Potassium mocking me. Last night I drank almost an entire liter of water in massive gulps trying to get it to move. Celery din't help, pickles din't, tried a slice of turkey ... I was up to almost another meal and that stupid pill was still there!! I thought I finally had it going w/ another huge gulp of water ... but I had to burp ... burping pushed the wretched pill back up my throat!!
I finally laid in my bed kinda stroking my throat and got it to move.
Ima try splitting it tonight and see what happens. I'm not going through ^^^ again.
I have always, always had trouble getting any pills down. So when I saw the size of the IP ones, I freaked out a little! Then I discovered 0/0/0 CLUB SODA which my coach says is totally allowed on the plan. I take a big sip first then drop the vitamin in, and i hardly feel the vitamin go down with alll the fizziness from the pop. Cutting the vitamins in half, then using club soda would be even better! Though it might take awhile to get them all down LOL
